On June 2, The Princely Family of Monaco, that is, Prince Albert, Princess Charlene, Princess Stephanie, Pierre Casiraghi, Andrea Casiraghi, Tatiana Santo Domingo, Louis Ducruet, Marie Chevallier, Pauline Ducruet and Camille Gottlieb attended the opening of new Casino Place in Monaco. The Principality eases lockdown measures taken to curb the spread of the COVID-19 (the novel coronavirus).
Today, Princess Charlene has posted a photo on Instagram with the following remarks: Excited for today and the start of the Sumer season -we are strong together!
Brunello Cucinelli Linen and cotton chevron blazer (thx @Jennifer)
Brunello Cucinelli Exotic silk pongee dress (thx @Jennifer)
MUZUNGU SISTERS Floral Embroidered Linen Dress
Everybody is looking cheerful and happy to be out. I love Charlene's hair and the outfit is great on her. Tatiana's dress is starting to grow on me, and I like that she has tried to find a matching face mask. **Natascha
ReplyDeleteDélicieuse Charlène avec les petites tresses de chaque côté de sa coiffure ; pour cela, elle a dû laisser pousser ses cheveux. Je remarque qu'elle a la même couleur de cheveux que Gabriella !
ReplyDeleteIMV rather difficult to see whether they look happy or not. Masks will create mystery, particularly about Charlene. Nice that she mixes with the family, apparently rather happily, but that hair style does not fit her, except if she decided to go for an new look... Pleased to see again the nice dress on Tatiana. But I am not a friend of casinos.
ReplyDeleteCasinos are where the royal family get their wealth from and is why Prince Albert is worth billions !
DeleteThe Casino is not why Albert is worth billions.
DeleteAnyway, it was the opening of the new Casino Square not the Casino.
Why doesn't the Prince have his trousers tailored.? The way they have puddled around his ankles appears that they are at least 5 inches too long for him. Otherwise, he's a very dapper dresser.
ReplyDeleteI agree. That is beyond a full break. I am surprised Charlene hasn't slowly worked on those hems.
DeleteWhat a shame they had to wear masks. Photos like these will go down in history when we look back at the era of the Coronavirus epidemic.
ReplyDeleteSo good to see Princess Charlene out and about. Love her hairdo but did she steal the idea from Princess Gabriella?
@ deadeggs... what a tragedy, when people look at pictures with people with masks.... shame you say? What is a real shame is the millions of dead people. SMH!!
DeleteWhy wear masks if there is no adherence to social distancing? That’s next to hand washing, the most important aspect of prevention for COVID-19.
ReplyDeleteNo you wear the mask if you can't social distance.
DeleteNot true. Tharien is correct. Both are necessary. Maybe your country doesn't recommend it, but many do. King Felipe and Queen Letizia are an excellent example to all.
DeleteNot true. Both aren't necessary especially if the group of people are already mixing with each other. Like, I don't know, family members... or members of the council who are meeting I person regularly.
DeleteRecommended doesn't mean necessary.
Nice to see them out and about. Love Charlene's hair and outfit. I also like Tatiana's dress. The other ladies look fine apart from Camille. If you have a bigger build wearing loose flowing clothes makes you look bigger. A bit of judicious tailoring to give some shape would be more flattering.
ReplyDeleteI think Charlene looks more comfortable wearing her mask and sunglasses. Maybe having her face covered is to her advantage because there is not as much for her critics to pick apart.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to see so much of the family together. They look terrific.
Princess Charlene looks great, happy and engaging. Her outfit is lovely, beautiful jacket, love her choice of shoes. Terrific to see the family out and about.
ReplyDeleteOutfits seem appropriate for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteHowever, This event should have been postponed to a later time. They come out for events but they did support Monaco during quarantine.
-No clapping hands on balcony
-Handing out masks
- conference calls to hospital
Miss W
Postponed?? how far? the end of lockdown does not mean the end of the problem.
DeleteWhy? Life goes on. Monaco has eased lockdown restrictions.
DeleteAnd it is unclear whether you think they did or didn't support Monaco during the quarantine.
They did (and not just Monaco) - do some research and also accept that just because you haven't seen something doesn't mean they were doing nothing.
Great outfit for Princess Charlene--smart, elegant and summery and she's not had a sneaky lockdown haircut by the look of it. Tatiana's dress looks much improved with nice sandals rather than the pink slippers! :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's just me but I can tell that Charlene still isn't smiling even with the mask on. Over these past months I've learned to really look at someone's eyes ('cause that's all we got right now) - when they're smiling/laughing the eyes crinkle up. With the exception of one photo I'm not seeing that with Charlene - especially with the dark sun glasses! [shrug]

I suppose we all see what we want to see.
