On Thursday afternoon, June 4, Queen Máxima visited the Jumbo supermarket to speak with employees about their work during the coronavirus crisis. Afterwards, the Queen visited DAR waste company to speak with employees about their work at the environment street during the coronavirus crisis. The visits took place in the context of the impact of the corona pandemic on vital sectors.
Hair, such a mess for a queen. Smile is nice, but get a hair cut.
ReplyDeleteI really do not understand why her hair is so damaged. My hairdresser colours me blond for already 20 years. It looks very healthy.
DeleteAlthough I am not a fan of white, I think her suit is really okay for a working visit.
I’m not really impressed. All white for a working visit?
ReplyDeleteAnd why always a blanket over the shoulder?
That is what I thought too.
DeletePristine white , wearing thousands of euros, body language. But, she smiles. Royal work.
DeleteYeah, right: the Queen in front of "Corona Extra"-beer. Great picture.
ReplyDeleteI like the blouse, trousers and love the shoes, though I would prefer some colour in one or other. Not certain that the shawl adds to the outfit but again if it were a different colour it might have looked better. Always good to see her "in action"
ReplyDeleteWhy are people so critical? She is beautiful, has a lovely smile and dresses with great taste so her hair is not perfect...who's is during this pandemic?? She is doing her job as well as she can during this difficult time and it is just wonderful to see her and her husband out and about.
ReplyDeleteFor myself: I am critical because it is my opinion that in the way you dress you show your respect to the people yo visit.
DeleteI think this Queen is often to casual: in her clothing and in her behavour as well.
Do you really think she dresses with great taste? I don´t think so, especially today I find there is a lack of tact and sensibility. Noone would wear a white outfit for a visit at a waste company. That happens quite often.
DeleteBecause the primary function of this site is to discuss fashion and clothes.
DeletePersonally, I think she's great - she's engaged, smiling and interested in what she's doing. Fashion wise I think she has hits and misses but that's a question of my personal preferences - I don't find her especially casual at events. I like people who aren't afraid to show a bit of personality in their fashion.
Her hair is in terrible condition but I don't think she is showing a lack of respect - I've decided she genuinely doesn't realise or else thinks that's how it is and nothing can be done. Perhaps she needs a hairdresser who is braver about speaking up.
DeleteThis is a fashion blog. We are allowed to pick the fashion, style, taste to pieces. We are NOT criticising the persons wearing what they are wearing only what they pick to wear. That we forgive Maxima for some of the really tragic outfits she has climbed into sometimes is because she has a beautiful smile and really tries. That it does not always come off we just have to forget quickly. I can tell you why she has resorted to shawls. The weather here is TOTALLY unpredictable and nearly always blowing it can be boiling one day, freezing the next and do all of it in the space of half an hour.
This is a nice combination. I notice the Queen has been adding shawls on her last few engagement's.

ReplyDeleteAlways wear same colour outfit. Should dare to mix and match.....
ReplyDeleteI have no words. A crisp white outfit and a winding scarf for visits in a supermarket AND a waste company? Totally inappropriate.
ReplyDeleteWhat on earth is wrong with a crisp white outfit for those visits. This is the Netherlands have you seen how brushed polished and clean those waste trucks, paving and personel all look, dito the supermarket. Queen Elizabeth would do it in a hat, gloves, pearls and suit why is that OK and what Maxima is wearing which is a modern take on that not OK. The Japaneze Empress wore a tailored light coloured suit to feed silkworms and no-one thought that inapropriate?
DeleteHuh? How is it inappropriate? What should she be wearing? You do realise she isn't actually going to be stacking shelves and driving garbage trucks?
DeleteOne of the most elegant classic styles is to wear monotone. Queen Maxima certainly knows how to pull it off perfectly. Brava!
ReplyDeleteI actually like the outfit. It´s season-appropriate, it fits her well, and it wasn´t a bad choice for the occasion because her visit was about talking to people, not about seeing the facilities or learning about technical processes.
ReplyDeleteI think this is the best way to wear a ribbon blouse: styling the ribbons like a thin scarf rather than tying them to a bow.
Her hair needs a cut and treatment, but this is not the worst I´ve seen it.
There is nothing wrong with dressing monochromatically. Maxima is known for going overboard with the clothes and accessories, and now, when she is presenting a more streamlined Maxima, she is pummeled again. Maybe some of you just need to complain. As for her hair, I don't understand all the repeat comments. She has the same hair each time she makes a visit. Why not save the comments for her good hair days She does have them on occasion.
ReplyDeleteYes! She is wearing clothes that are tailored!!!!! I'm considering it a win!!!!
ReplyDeleteChel
Once again her hair is in mess.... I didn't like her outfit and shoes are awful!! Let's see the crown princess of Denmark or the Duchess of Cambridge... They wouldn't never wear Maxima's shoes....
