On June 16, 2020, Queen Mathilde visited Bruges city of the province of West Flanders. There, on the occasion of the Van Eyck year 2020, the Queen visited the exhibition "Van Eyck in Bruges" at the Groeninge Museum. Jan Van Eyck was one of the founders of Flemish painting in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
The Museum holds two of Jan Van Eyck’s most famous works in its collection: 'Madonna with Canon Joris van der Paele' and 'Portrait of Margareta van Eyck'.
Afterwards, the Queen visited the recently renovated Gruuthuse Museum. Finally, the Queen visited a local catering business and spoke with representatives of the sector. In Belgium, the catering industry was severely affected by the corona crisis.
As allways in style without being oldfashioned!
ReplyDeleteJolie Mathilde dans cet imprimé avec le masque assorti mais dans un tissu plus fluide et une coupe près du corps, ce serait parfait ; les boucles d'oreilles blanches sont très bien accordées !
ReplyDeleteI would say the dress is a bit too long for that style.
ReplyDeleteI like the dress - love how she is getting her masks to match her outfits.
ReplyDeleteNice dress, nice earrings and face mask matching the dress is clearly the way to go. Small quibble--I think the dress might be more flattering with a less flared skirt and possibly slightly shorter skirt.
ReplyDeleteThe outfit is ok, the huge earrings look cheap and not meant for her.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful dress. I love the blue background and splashes of white. The length is perfect. Love her choice of shoes.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. But she is looking a little tired. She has been working hard during this difficult time but the smile is always there.
