On the call was the Queen's daughter, Princess Anne, and the pair chatted to various carers about their different experiences and the challenges they have faced. The Queen praised carers for their “extraordinary” work as she joined her daughter the Princess Royal to speak to four carers and Gareth Howells, the chief executive of the Carers Trust, after logging in online from the Oak Room at Windsor Castle.
Princess Anne is president of the Carers Trust, which provides support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems.
Queen Elizabeth took part in a video call - VIDEO
Images très colorées au cours de cet appel-vidéo ; j'adore voir la reine qui semble toute bronzée peut-être les promenades à cheval au château de Windsor y sont pour quelque-chose ! !
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to spare a thought for all the carers out there, the unsung heroes of our times. The Queen's dress is superbly beautiful, the best floral dress by far among all the ones we have seen on other royal ladies (and boy have we seen a LOT of them since this trend started!) It never ceases to amaze me how can the mother look younger than the daughter (if you imagine Anne with white hair - which would be the case if she didn't dye her hair - you will see what I am talking about...) It is often said that the genes tend to skip one generation, let's hope it's the case for the Queen's grandchildren ;-)

The Queen looks superb, a beautiful floral dress, a single strand of stunning pearls. She looks well and happy.
ReplyDeleteShe's just superb. Zoom chats and horse riding at 94. Fantastic.
