On June 3, 2020, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of The Netherlands visited the first performance evening after the reopening of The National Theater in The Hague, Netherlands. Theaters in the Netherlands will be able to open their doors again from 1 June, after an eleven week closure due to the corona pandemic. Queen Maxima wore a new vintage embroidered dress by Zazi.

Oh how marvellous that the National Theater has been able to reopen, what positive news. The King and Queen looked happy, lovely to see the Queen so happy, her smile lights up the room.

ردحذفMe too. It has an off beat difference which the Queen seems to enjoy playing around with. I find it more ethnic rather than vintage. A wacky pair of big off beat earings would have gone down well with it. Love the endless smiles.
حذفI agree with you both. Love the dress, and I agree about the ethnic look, because of the loose, flowing kaftan style and the geometric designs on the bodice, which could have been inspired by embroidery.

The shawl hides the neckline, an important feature of the dress, and the dress asks for much more casual shoes.

ردحذفUGH! maxima is definitely not the ethnic type. She should stick to the artistic sophisticated things that really suit her and in which she is sometimes stunning , like the diagonal blocked caftan she wore on the Spanish official visit.
