On June 16, 2020, Imperial family attended a memorial event for the 20th anniversary of death of Empress Kojun. Princess Mako and Princess Kako visited the mausoleum of Empress Kojun at the Musashino Imperial Graveyard in Hachioji. A rite held at the Imperial Palace was attended by Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, Crown Prince Fumihito, Crown Princess Kiko and other members of the imperial family. Empress Kojun was the wife of Emperor Hirohito, who is posthumously known as Emperor Showa.
ReplyDeleteToday the only comment which comes to my mind is : a bit too old-fashioned.
ReplyDeleteIn this chaotic world, sometimes it's nice to have something a bit old-fashioned.
DeleteTotally agree with Beverly24. And nice to see them holding up their traditions.
