The Appeal of 18 June was the speech made by Charles de Gaulle to the French in 1940 and broadcast in London by the BBC. It called for the Free French Forces to fight against German occupation. The appeal is often considered to be the origin of the French Resistance in World War II.

  1. Good. Social distancing. No face masks.

Nice to see an element of normality returning. I like Camilla's dress. The Campaign for Camilla to Raise her Rack should also be satisfied with these images.

LOL! I don't think this will satisfy them. They'll want it 'Raised Higher'.
(I've heard that the theme song for the campaign is 'You Raise Me Up' but it's not confirmed).

  3. Although very expensive light summer fabrics, Prince Charles should ditch his tailors. Note Macron, King Felipe of Spain or others for their style.

Aside from the center seam on the back of his jacket looking puckered, the medals look like they are contributing to the problem with the front of the jacket. He usually does a better job with his medals. It is a sloppy appearance indeed.

  4. Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall seem to be ageing. Or is it just the photos that are not doing them any justice. Bien sûr, the Duchess is correctly dressed for the occasion.

Everybody is aging - it's a fact of life.

They are in their 70s and lead active, outdoor lives in many ways. It shows. They look fine.

    2. It does seem to me that Prince Charles' hair has all of a sudden gone nearly completely white, which gives him an elderly appearance.

Yes, @deadeggs, and you are aging too. This is what happens to every human. So what? - The Duchess of Cornwall and big hats - a match made in heaven! (-Ann.)

    4. Macron is a young president, 42, no wonder they look old, they are 30 years older.

    6. I also noticed from those photos of both Camilla and Charles look different.
His hair, in particular, looks odd - very white and unnatural for him. Of course we all are ageing, but these photos look strange, compared to photos I saw of them just a few days ago. I think it's the lighting or harsh sunlight that is the reason.

    7. Hello Rainha Leonor. In answer to your question, I am 49 years old plus 144 months. In 2021, I'll be 49 years old and 156 months, In 2022 I'll be 49 years old and 168 months and so on and so on.

Love your answer, deadeggs. (Is 'deadeggs' a hint at your age?) I tried being 40 for a year but it didn't suit me, so I promptly went back to 29. I have been 29 for so many years they could teach a college course on that math. My kids have been older than me for years. In other words, it is just a number.

  5. J'aime bien le salut échangé par Macron, Charles ainsi que Camilla qui est vêtue d'une jolie toilette ; j'aime beaucoup son chapeau !

Actually Prince Charles suit looks a bit shoddy;very poorly made,I think it is what ever the material is;does not drape very well. Camilla looks lovely ;I like the dress hat and shoes;very summery. They both look very fit and healthy;all that nice sun shine

The Duchess looks fabulous. Love the navy outfit, combined with the beautiful pearls she looks very elegant. Love the two tone shoes. The hat is divine.

  10. Think the very pale tie plus the French medal make Prince Charles look strange here. It's as if he's wearing a pullover under his jacket which would certainly be ageing. On his mother's side, Prince Charles belongs to a family with hair which whitens at a relatively young age--think of the Queen and Queen Mother at that age. On his father's side both Prince Philip and his father Prince Andrew were pretty much bald from early middle age, a genetic inheritance for the Earl of Wessex and Prince William (who looks more like his uncle than his father) Duchess of Cornwall looks extremely smart in navy and white
