Global Pride was created by the European Pride Organisers Association as a way of bringing the LGBTI+ community together following the cancellation or postponement of physical Prides worldwide. Next year, Copenhagen will host the international event Copenhagen 2021, which aims to ensure equal rights for LGBTI people around the world. Copenhagen 2021 will take place on 12-22 August, 2021 in Copenhagen and Malmö.
COVID19 has led to the cancellation of more than 500 Prides globally, and Copenhagen 2021 is now expected to be the first major Pride event to take place after the pandemic. The ten-day event in August 2021 will include arts and cultural programming, a human rights forum, and EuroGames with tournaments in 29 different sporting disciplines.

Victoria Beckham Flare Sleeve Knot Blouse
Très joli chemisier de couleur Lilas que Mary porte à merveille ; je préfère cette couleur à la couleur bleu du mannequin. J'aime beaucoup les boucles d'oreilles pendantes que je verrais bien dans mon écrin à bijoux !!
ReplyDeletePity we can't see if she's wearing a skirt , pants or whatever to match the blue top.
ReplyDeleteAlthough Victoria Beckham is not my favourite designer, must say that the top is interesting and suits Pss Mary well.
A note on the Danish tolerance re the gay and lesbian population.
Unless things have changed, I understand that the the partner of the Danish Ambassador in Paris is his male companion. I also understand that they perform many official events together.
And Pss Mary's country of origin, Australia, holds one of the biggest Gay Pride events in the world each year. It is a festival held in Sydney that goes on for about four weeks and has official support from government, police, businesses etc.
Deadeggs, Denmark has long been an ally for the LGBT community including members of the diplomatic corps. The US ambassador to Denmark during the Obama administration, Rufus Gifford, was openly gay and lived with his partner in Copenhagen. Towards the end of his term they had a chic wedding in the town hall that was attended by many family and friends and cheering crowds outside. There is also a reality series made by Danish television about the life of the ambassador as he goes about his various official duties and personal events during his term in Denmark, many of which include his partner and eventual spouse. I saw a couple of the episodes and it is very charming and well done. It ends with their black-tie wedding.

I find this blouse very matronly looking, something for a grandmother.

Agree but why make granny old byputting that on her
DeleteI do agree with you.
DeleteNalerina, ha...you are right! Don't even put grandma in this blouse.

Supporting the LGBTQ community and many other wonderful causes is why Crown Princess Mary is by far my favorite royal.....Fitzhugh
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely feminine blouse, very pretty colour. I love the pearl drop earrings the CP is wearing, they are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey will soon have every letter of the alphabet.
ReplyDelete@3:49am: Yup - I think they probably do already, hence the '+' sign at the end. ~Laurel~
DeleteIt´s quite ridiculous, really. They should just celebrate "people" instead of all those groups. If I self-identify as "zpiwockrftse" and claim to be oppressed, maybe they will include me too.
DeleteWho is they?
DeleteDear Anonymous7/1/20, 6:49 AM
DeleteI ask the same question the use of the word, several times, "they".
I could pick up on some of the above comments but it would be a deviation from the objective of this blog/forum. I have already offered some positive information about the Ambassador in Paris so it's better that I now keep my mouth shut and let the subject of fashion rule the day.
The color of this blouse is gorgeous, I just think think the style is a little aging (in general, because she could wear a potato sack and still look gorgeous). The simple drop earrings are pretty. Flawless hair and makeup.

I am occasionally wowed by Victoria Beckham's designs however I would put this top in my usual category of 'not impressed'. I don't like the sleeves or the twisted neck and I find the colour harsh on Mary.
ReplyDeleteI've always liked this blouse. However, Mary seems to look best in white, black, navy, and true bold colors - SOLID, no prints. ~Laurel~
