Paul & Joe Sunray Pleated Scarf Print Skirt
Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of new Holmegaard Museum
On June 8, 2020, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attended the official opening of new Holmegaard Works Museum. With focus on danish design, Holmegaard Works (Holmegaard Værk) is a new museum for the nation's greatest designers and artists. Danish glassmaker Per Lütken worked at Holmegaard from 1942 until his death in 1998, creating some of the factory's finest pieces and all-time classics, such as the 'Idelle' series, the 'Ships glasses' and the 'Provence' bowls. (Crown Princess Mary wore a new pleated scarf print skirt by Paul & Joe.)
I like this outfit. Midi skirts are starting grow on me. I think the key are the shoes. Wrong type of shoe or heel height and it just looks wrong or a little to casual when meant to be dressy or business-like.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note; I guess Denmark is all done with masks and social distancing and the whole lot. Wow.

Agree: the skirt is wonderfull but the shoes donot match.
DeleteThese high - shoes- with- nothing- else get a bit boring, shoes with more fantasy must be possible to design.
I AGREE those shoes don't do justice to that beautiful outfit.
DeleteShe looks absolutely wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAs always. Love the lighter colour of her hair style.
DeleteIt seems that social distancing is no longer on and no masks. Not all countries are on equal footing regarding contamination.
ReplyDeleteNot all of us believe government statistics. I do not wear a mask. ~Laurel~
DeleteTo anonymous 2:58 AM why would you say something so cruel. Do you think someone sits behind a desk and makes up those obituaries....Don't rain on Mary's parade with your cruel Trump frame of mind ignorant statistics!
DeleteQuelle belle jupe plissée imprimée très fraîche mais je trouve que le haut décolleté comme sur le mannequin aurait donné plus d'allure à Mary ; superbes les chaussures à talons bleu pale !
ReplyDeleteDenmark is not "done" with Covid-19, but on a very good way to keep it under control. They have 5 people in 100.000 newly infected right now. In comparison to other countries: UK 17 in 100.000, Germany 3 in 100.000, USA 44 in 100.000, and Brazil 83 in 100.000. And then there's New Zealand: 0 (zero)!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, still doesn’t mean royals shouldn’t set the right example. We’re talking about human lives being put at risk. Statistics can’t put a number on that. Lavinia
DeletePretty skirt. I like that she is picking up on the blue in the skirt with her heels. Did she change her hair color?

She is always lovely
DeleteI have so much respect for this amazing woman, wife and mother.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, Unknown, she is truly amazing, remarkable! I just want to know, where is Frederik? I can't wait for the day, that she don't have to curtsy for other monarchs, I mean, she is officially a Regent, since queen Margrethe signed it
DeleteLike the skirt and love the shoes--the shoes make such a difference. The skirt doesn't look half as good with the clumsy dark shoes worn by the model
ReplyDeleteI love the shoes as well, matching so well with the skirt IMV. And love the top as well.
DeleteShe always looks stunning in whatever she wears. I absolutely LOVE this pleated skirt, the blouse and her blue heels, just a perfect combination. Xo
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit, and I understand she was picking up the blue color with the shoes/skirt, but somehow, they just don't quite fit. Perhaps a rose/brownish or taupe color would have been a better fit. Lovely outfit, and thankfully she keeps her hair so nice and styled.
ReplyDeleteSkirt is nice but don't like the top at all.Makes her looks matronly!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful skirt and the blouse is very becoming. I love the colour of the shoes, if the bag was the same colour it would have looked fabulous.
ReplyDeleteNooo!!!! Color coordinate is soo yesterday and boring. The way Mary wears the look it is fresh and young. All color coordinate says "old lady" Scarlett Witch
DeleteShe looks lovely. I like the skirt.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I'm getting a bit fed up with this new habit of "mask-shaming".
Fantastic article read and HRH Princess Mary looking healthy and happy. The museum looks absolutely stunning and worth a visit some day.
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt she always looks great and she beams vitality, health and happiness. Denmark is so lucky to have her. I feel incredibly proud of her as an Australian.
ReplyDeleteRegards the masks unless you are wearing an N92 which is the water proof one you would need to change it constantly for it to be effective. It's more important to wash hands and stay home if your not well. Best wishes to all.
CP Mary has got a different look since we saw her out in public for months.
ReplyDeleteYounger and fresher …something is changed in her face and not only he her hair style!
Lovely dressed as always.

A very lovely lady. Love the outfit and shoes, dressy and casual at the same time.
