Queen Maxima visited the Drentheplantsoen in The Hague
On Thursday, May 14, 2020, Dutch Queen Maxima visited Middin foundation's residential care location Drentheplantsoen. People with mild intellectual disabilities from Middin live in The Hague at this location. During the working visit, Queen Maxima received information about how Middin offers care and support in the current situation, taking into account the current corona measures. (The Queen wore a new sleeveless high neck shirt by Zara.)
A Queen with the "beauty of inperfection".
ReplyDeleteThank you for your endless work chère madame.
That’s a very sweet way of putting it, love you!
DeleteSorry, should have typed imperfection and not inperfection. My mistake.
DeleteOr was it the keyboard at fault and not me? Will try to do better next time. Deadeggs.
... "beauty of imperfection" - great, Deadeggs! :-)
DeleteI love a monochromatic outfit on Q. Max, and I think the colour really suits her. As for the hair, well enough has already been said on this subject. The royal hairbrush has clearly gone missing again... (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteSince it is likely to be some time, most probably not until autumn if then, before tiaras are worn, I wish Maxima would choose now to do a proper hair cut - perhaps a longish bob, like Letizia did sometime back and get rid of those ends. Then it could grow back when formal events - we hope - return in the future. And perhaps sort the colour.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, the outfit is quiet but nice, and nice to see her wearing Zara.
I second this. Just a 5 cm cut would be so much nicer.
DeleteI do like the outfit and colour very much. And her earrings, gorgeous! She also is one of the most engaged royals, I think.
Shall we all send her hairbrushes? Maybe she would get the message. Sorry, this outfit is a no from me. Too much material on the top, looks sloppy, the pants are again too short.
ReplyDeleteNo, her pants are not too short. They are the length they are meant to be.
DeleteMay we put in a request that all photographs of Maxima be cropped 18cm above the ankles so that we don't have to see the length of her trousers destroying a very attractive outfitgraph apart. She has such a beautiful warm smile she can be forgiven for the pants at half mast but I don't see why we have to look at them.
ReplyDeleteI could not say it better
DeletePS can enlarge pictures again Anna at new site
This monochromatic look suits her very nicely. This is the best (minus the requisite hair) she has looked in a long time. It's a gorgeous, classy look. Kudos Maxima.

For those afflicted with mild intellectual disabilities the pandemic must be very scary for them right now. Their level of understanding, changes in lifestyle must be very difficult for some to comprehend. I love the colour of this ensemble, the addition of the scarf I love. The Queen has such a beautiful smile, enough to lit up any day.
ReplyDeleteWith all of the critiquing we give Queen Maxima and maybe some rightly so the last picture of her enduring smile captures the essence of this lovely lady!
ReplyDeleteI like the outfit as a whole! I like the trousers, I like the trousers, as they are! And for the hair, if she likes it, it is ok!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering whether I prefer the hairstyle of Stephanie when leaving the hospital yesterday (and believe me, I like Stephanie very much) or the one of Maxima here. Honestly I don't know, I would go for a compromise between both. If by any chance you would go ahead with initiatives here above, ( about photos or sending her a hairbrush) please make sure to mention that I am not participating,
While on the subject of Royal hair I actually love the unkemt wilder longer hair that quite a few of theRoyal ladies and men are forcably sporting at the moment. My only objection to Maxima's hair are the rattails snipt purposely into the ends but wild I like it. I also thought Stephanie looked much better in the black and white photo in the hospital than the style sported on leaving it.
ReplyDeleteMy vote for left alone hair are the following Royals- Queens or princesses especially Mathilde then Mary, Marie, Mette-Marit, Stephanie and Guillaume, King William-Alexander, Letitia looks good both ways and I like her grey streaks now. Catherine can't manage her own hair very well and I have not liked it since her marriage with all those curls. I thought it looked far nicer before someone decided to pul curls at the bottom of it instead the far looser blow drys she used to have.
Tenue dont la couleur lui va à merveille mais le pantalon est un peu trop court. J'aime beaucoup les boucles d'oreilles ; mais alors les cheveux ?!
