I love this Erdem dress- pretty print combined with a classic silhouette. Not a fan of the gloves but they may be a precaution instead of a fashion choice.

  4. Thanks to this blog, I can spot Erdem from a mile away! The Queen is lovely, as always, but there is something about Erdem dresses that make a person look boxy and shapeless. Is it just me? What am I missing?

Well, my budget will never allow for such a purchase anyway! LOL!

I agree. Boxy is the first thing I thought.
She's such a lovely woman though!

Having put on some weight lately, she has lost the definition of her waist. That is the reason for the boxy look. Maxima has the same problem. You can see that the model looks much better in the dress. A consultation with a stylist would do wonders for her.

You can really see the smile in her eyes - even when she wears a mask. Mathilde is truly a class act. She is such a well rounded person, her ability to understand and support arts is unparalleled.

Redemption dresses are sometimes a hit and sometimes a miss. Lately, like so many designers, he feels the need to push the boundaries. I understand that’s part of their creative process, but I can’t say I always love the outcomes of his efforts. This particular cut does Mathilde no favours. But that’s such a small quibble compared to the wonderful work she. What a remarkable queen she is. CH

  6. The Queen looks lovely in these colours. Not a fan of this style of dress. Erdem dresses are not my cup of tea, I don't know what it is about them, but pure personal preference only.

  7. Belle robe chemisier estivale mais la taille trop haute ne donne pas une jolie silhouette à la Reine qui est vraiment charmante !

Its a lovely dress but not for Queen Mathilde. She is tall, which is necessary for this dress, but she gained in my opinion a bit of weight lately. This dress makes her more pompous. And white is not a good colour for her. Its a pity, cause normally I like her fashion style and use of colours very much.

Just some detail of the cut is wrong- doesn´t work for women with hips. Everything else (color, neckline..) is great on Queen Mathilde.
