King Abdullah and Queen Rania contacted with orphans via video call
On Sunday, King Abdullah and Queen Rania contacted with orphans at Dar Al Hanan in Irbid and Al Hussein Social Institute in Amman via video call.
During the conversation, King Abdullah expressed his best wishes to the children on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. In addition, the King received information from the children about the distance learning carried out at Dar Al Hanan and Al Hussein Social Institute.
Queen Rania told the children and staff that the King and herself used to get together with them in Ramadan and have iftar (fast-breaking meal) with them every year, but this year, it became impossible.
There are 18 orphanages in Jordan, in which about 700 orphans live. Recently, students at these orphanages have continued their education remotely via the online platform "Darsak" with the support of officials at the orphanages.
