On 21 April, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde made a video call with the director and the nursing staff of the Sint-Truiden Transitional Care Center. These centers provide care to patients infected with coronavirus who are medically authorized to leave the hospital but who cannot yet return home for social reasons. These centers provide additional capacity to relieve hospitals. The care center at Sint-Trudo is a special center designed for transitioning patients from an acute hospital stay to a safe return home. |
Everybody's hair is getting longer.....I love this couple.
ReplyDeleteA lovely warm spring color, blazer and scarf. Nice of them doing their part.
ReplyDeleteJoli blazer Corail avec une étole aux motifs fleuris ; j'aime beaucoup les boucles d'oreilles pendantes assorties.. Ce style de lunettes de vue va très bien à Mathilde !
ReplyDeleteBelgium seems to be the hardest hit country in Europe in deaths per head of population. What a tragedy for this wee country. great to see the King and Queen continuing to support where they can. Love this jacket and scarf--great colour and the relaxed hairstyle really suits Queen Mathilde
ReplyDeleteIt's only because we count everyone, also people with symptoms that were not tested. Our death rate is probably overrated, some other countries are underrating now. We can only compare after the crisis.
DeleteBut our queen does like nice, it's a great colour for her. They're doing a great job in this difficult time.
Thanks for that explanation, Anon 6 44. I wasn't aware of that and the deaths per head of population seemed so awful in comparison with other countries. As you say, we will get a proper overall picture some time in the future.
DeleteLove that color on Mathilde. The scarf is a nice addition. Her hair is getting long!
ReplyDeleteThe king looks quite handsome in his suit as well.

DeleteChel, yes her hair is getting long. But at least it's combed, and neat.
Just lovely and professional appearances for both.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see the King and Queen showing support and keeping abreast of the situation in there country. The Queen looks smart in her outfit, love the colours and the addition of the scarf.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing this couple.
ReplyDeleteCharming colours on Queen Mathilde, I like it.
