On April 8, 2020, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge contacted with school children whose parents are working on the frontline. The Duke and Duchess made a video call to speak with children at Casterton Primary Academy in Lancashire, which works closely with Place2Be, of which the Duchess is patron. (VIDEO) |
During the conversation, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thanked teachers and school staff at Casterton Primary Academy for their hard work and dedication, and wished the children a happy Easter. The Duchess wore a yellow puff sleeves sweater by Zara, and gold fern drop earrings from Zoraida London. |

I love this couple. They seem like genuinely like their job. They represent the Monarch very well.

Indeed.
ReplyDeleteIt is a different earring 😊
ReplyDeleteNice exchange with these wee ones. Keeping up morale where they can. Do not normally like this mustard colour but unsurprisingly it looks good on the Duchess.
ReplyDeleteAhh, such a charming video. This is the most relatable that I've seen them both. Really lovely. I must say that I am enjoying seeing all these Royals looking as normal and ordinary as we all are, away from the extra make-up and attention to fashion associated with their public appearances, which is how we otherwise only ever see them. Clear waters, blue skies, animals where you'd never see them before, humans being human. This pandemic situation is revealing natural things in surprising ways.

Yes, agreed. Quite a refreshing change from the bling-bling diamonds, designer dresses, royal banquets etc. We'll get back to them later. Nice to have a break.
DeleteNice couple. Like it a lot. I wouldn't know, what to ask out of the blue....
ReplyDeleteThe strange colour looks nice on Cathrine and "the guy next to her" looks good too ;-) Nice Easter surprise. Frieda
I was surprised by Catherine words "guy next to me". It reminds me of JF Kennedy words when arriving in Paris in the late 60's (I guess), "I am the guy who accompanies Jackie K". Surprising she is taking the initiative of these words. Very nice initiative anyway.
DeleteHer makeup is so minimal here....much more attractive than the heavy handed amount she usually wears. Just lovely!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sick of the makeup thing. Makeup is a form of expression and it's not a bad thing. Women look beautiful with or without it. It's our chose but to keep dogging people who love makeup is bs. Saying she's more attractive, you're awful. Kate's makeup is not "heavy-handed" at all. Grow up. - Liv
DeleteTotally agree! I find her eye make-up usually way too heavy, and this lighter version is far more appealing and natural. - Ellie
DeleteAgree with Anon 12:37. She does not wear too much makeup. We see the most comments about too much makeup when she is attending an evening event. Funny how so many don't know that there is a difference between daytime and evening makeup.
DeleteNo one said makeup is a bad thing and yes, there is a difference between day and evening makeup.
DeleteShe just looks fresher and more youthful with this lighter application of eye makeup.
Nice surprise for the children. I like this color sweater.
ReplyDeleteThat was a really nice video and I think it not only lifted the spirits of the kids but that of the Cambridge's as well. Imagine the kids going home and saying, "Guess who I got to speak with today?!"

Hairstyle with no bangs - I like it so much better than with bangs/hair covering her face, especially for this pretty everyday half-up-half down style. (Ann.)
ReplyDeleteGreat video. The Cambridges are genuine and engaged. Love the rapport between the two. Catherine has such a pleasant tone to her voice. I love her earrings and like this color of top on her.
ReplyDeleteE.B.B.
Agree with you E.B.B .
DeleteJust as beautiful as ever - it is really nice to see them doing great work together. Love this couple.
ReplyDeleteOn another note I would really like to thank Ellen for continuing with her blog during this time of uncertainty it is helping keep in touch with everyone. Many thanks!!! xx
Yes thank you Hellen so much, I don't comment much but I love reading the blog so thank you for continuing. Happy Easter to Everyone, stay safe and well! Cindy
DeleteApologies typo Helen - not Ellen. xx
ReplyDeleteNice video. I like how between 2:27 and 2:32 two more people magically appear in the background.
ReplyDeleteWell done to the Duke and Duchess. They are both very caring and engaging.
ReplyDeleteBoth look relaxed, happy, confident within themselves and with their postion as royals. Love the sweater especially the sleeves, though we didnt see that part on Catherine, but on the model.
ReplyDeletePrince William and Catherine's messages of thanks and support to teachers and students must have encouraged them, I think.
