On April 24, 2020, from her home in Birkhall, Aberdeenshire, the Duchess of Cornwall had a friendly phone conversation with Silver Line user 90-year-old Betty from Hampshire to see how she was coping at this difficult time and lend a friendly ear. Dame Esther Rantzen, founder of The Silver Line, also joined the conversation. The Duchess first spoke to Betty during her visit to the charity’s headquarters in 2017. |
During the conversation, they spoke about how hard it is being separated from family and Betty’s memories of the war. The Silver Line is a charity organization that operates a 24-hour helpline for older people to call if they are lonely or in need of help. Those wishing to speak to someone can call 0800 470 8090, day or night. The Duchess of Cornwall is patron of the Silver Line. |
Sympathique photos.. J'aime beaucoup la première où nous voyons la duchesse qui en train de câliner son toutou tout en conversant via The Silver Line ; vêtue chic-décontractée bien amincie !
ReplyDeleteHow nice of Camilla to be so involved.Love the pic with the dog.
ReplyDeleteelle aime les chiens, c'est donc une belle personne
ReplyDeleteYes, she does love her doggies! That little terrier is Beth, one of the doggies she adopted from the Battersea Dog and Cats Home. It's one of her royal patronages, and one close to her heart. I have a personal theory which is that a person who is nice to animals is a good person. I think the Duchess amply qualifies!
DeleteLove Camilla in her casual wear, she wears jeans beautifully. Jacket is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Nice picture of her and her dog.
