Queen Sonja of Norway contacted with Fakhra Salimi, founder and executive director of the MIRA Resource Centre via video call. Fakhra Salimi is a Pakistani-born Norwegian human rights activist, feminist, journalist and editor. MIRA Centre works for the purpose of improving living conditions of minority women in Norway. |
In March, the MIRA Resource Centre created its own information telephone helpline intended for the corona crisis for women with minority backgrounds. After the corona crisis broke out, the Center has been in contact with women from 24 countries. Information is available in over ten languages. There are now supervisors in all 15 districts in Oslo, and the MIRA center is also physically present in other cities in the country such as Drammen, Lillestrøm and Tromsø. |
Queen Sonja has for many years been involved in the immigrant women's situation in Norway and has met on several occasions with representatives of minority women during conferences and seminars, at palace receptions and during her visits to respective organizations and private homes. |
Un vrai bureau où nous voyons la Reine très concentrée devant son ordinateur et écran !
ReplyDeleteNice to see Q Sonja again.
ReplyDeleteQueen Sonja looks lovely as always. Best hair by any Royal during these hard times!
ReplyDeleteSonja is over 80 years old and always has nice hair. Every woman can maintain a simple hairstyle.
ReplyDeleteA lady from MIRA, and on the other hand ... Please, I know she's doing a deserving job, but I dare say - terrible hair. This is not an insult, but a statement of fact. Even an older woman's gray hair can be nicely cut or knotted.
The Queen looks lovely. So terrific to see her looking so well and engaging.
ReplyDeleteQueen Sonja is elegant and lovely as always.
