Queen Maxima visited the transport company Pieter Smit in Vennep

On April 8, 2020, Queen Maxima visited, in the context of the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19), the transport company Pieter Smit in Nieuw-Vennep. The transport company is specialized in the transport and construction and dismantling of stages and scenery for concerts, theaters, sports and events throughout Europe. Afterwards, Queen Maxima visited Hotel V Nesplein and Koninklijke Horeca Nederland in Amsterdam. Koninklijke Horeca Nederland is the largest organisation representing hospitality businesses in the Netherlands. (The Queen wore a new suit by Massimo Dutti.)

Leave her hair alone, she likes it with split ends 😃
Atleast she is dressed down today, this suit and handbag are suitable for this visit.

Agree, her hairstyle is beautiful and who is telling something else, is a fool who believes in special facts.

    2. I think she is creating a hair style which could be called "shaggy-chic". The suit looks great on her.

  4. Like the grey trouser suit. Smart and business like though I think it could have done with a brighter colour blouse. I rarely use and therefore tend not to notice handbags but this one is nice. Great to see the Queen personally supporting businesses that will be having difficulty at this time.

Chapeau! This is the right royal behaviour in these surrealistic times. Visiting and supporting companies as a symbol of so many other companies that are/will be damaged by the virus. And not going on a ski weekend like the royals in Norway.

Never wear a shoulder-handbag in your hands: it ruins the total impression.
The suit and blouse are nice, but please, flatter shoes under the trousers.
I really donot know what to think of such visits:
is it the best way to show you care?

Her shoes are fine. Flat shoe people really push their preference here!

I agree about the visit. I am not sure that it is necessary to go in person. Video conferencing would be smarter and really is just as effective.

  14. They don't have to wear masks in Holland?
I don't understand why she goes around visiting businesses. She's putting herself in a bad position because even though Holland is a small country they have a very high amount of Corona infections and deaths.

Quite a lots of countries don't have to wear masks - WHO advice suggests they aren't helpful outside of specific healthcare settings.

  15. To Kteach. A real Queen or King never run away in difficult times. It is their job to care for the people, to support them. Like King George and his family did in the Second World War. Maxima does a great job!

Interesting how some royals have canceled all their appointments/engagements and others are still trying to carrying them out while practicing the social distancing. I think its going to be a very long time (months, and months) before everything is truly "back to normal." Other royals may have to start following Max's lead and start filling their calendars again and do their visits in person but at a distance at the same time.

Nice pants suit btw and very appropriate for the visit and the times. I think it would have been completely wrong - even for Max - to show up in an elaborate dress with tons of jewelry and one of her wide-brim hats the size of an umbrella. ;-)
