On April 16, Queen Máxima visited, in the context of the coronavirus outbreak, the technology company Demcon in Enschede. Demcon is supplying essential ventilation modules for coronavirus treatment worldwide. Demcon’s macawi respiratory systems’ breathing modules are vital in the fight against the coronavirus. (The Queen wore a floral brocade coat by Oscar De La Renta, and a new silk blouse by Zeus + Dione.) |
Oh my my!
ReplyDeleteMaeva
Great to see the Queen continuing her work and supporting organisations such as this. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThe blouse is a beeeeautiful shade of green. Then I saw the pants and coat. The design on the blouse leaves me scratching my head. ~Laurel~
ReplyDeleteI share most of your comment, Laurel, except that I like also the design on the blouse.
DeleteLaurel, I don't get the idea either...

Maybe the coat will have been contaminated and will need to be destroyed?? 😀
ReplyDeleteOh dear.....just because it's sold doesn't mean you have to purchase it.
ReplyDeletehahahahahahahah!!!!! True
DeleteGood or bad taste? In the end and overall her outfit is bright and gay. And with the "shaggy-chic" hair style it confirms that Queen Maxima does it her way. Bravo, and may she continue with the support and interest she is sharing with the industries in her country.
DeleteBack to being Maxima then. That coat and yellow flare trousers are so over the top!! very clown oufit for a business visit.

Well, the least you can say is that the clothing distracts from the hair!
ReplyDeleteOh, oh, oh....
Ha ha ha!
DeleteI hope so blouse included. The only thing I like is the colour. The blouse looks like very unflattering pyjama's
ReplyDeleteI am still questioning her choice to meet in person. No one would ever question her dedication, she is just taking unnecessary risks. As for her wardrobe, the best thing she is wearing is the mask, which she should wear more frequently.
ReplyDeleteThat was a MEAN SPIRITED comment that she should wear the mask more often!!! Just because a lot of us do not like her choices in clothing or the way she wears her hair does not make her a bad person.....Be nice!!!
DeleteSo nobody remembers queen Margrethe's raincoat?
ReplyDeleteMargot
I thought the same thing!
DeleteI remember Queen Margrethe's raincoat well and it makes me smile. It lifts you up on a dreary day. I read where she found the fabric on a shopping trip and designed the coat herself and had it custom made. I think if she likes it that is all that matters!!!
ReplyDeleteAgree with a previous poster, the outfit was not appropriate for a business meeting, the hair as usual looked horrid, and the outfit was more clownish, than something a queen should wear.
ReplyDeleteWow, just wow. And I mean, not a good wow. That green and mustard combo is not a good one in my opinion. I do like the blouse, though. But she continues to make these outlandish choices, which is her style I guess.
ReplyDeleteChel
This Tapestry coat is a little to busy, The blouse is nice and a great dark green.
ReplyDeleteI support her visiting damaged companies etc. But her clothes ( and hair) again so tasteless. The colour combinations, awful coat, blouse sort of okay. Just choose some good designers and stick to them. And I really don't understand why she is having so much "bad hair days". She should stop colouring her hair because its almost destroyed
ReplyDeleteColouring isn't the problem. It's decennies of bleaching which ruins the hair.
DeleteAs for the clothes, I have been thinking for quite some years, that somebody at the Dutch court mixed things up and handed Maxima the dress code for the jester instead of that for the queen.
She doesn't look healthy since a long time and it got worse. She looks totally exhausted. No need to mention her hair to the extend. It fits the outfit - a morning coat over a pyjama pant. Nonono.

ReplyDeletePlease Máxima, get a good haircut and choose some more classical outfits, you are the Queen after all!
ReplyDeleteI loved the coat when she wore it previously with green scarf, bag and boots. I think it’s overwhelming and sloppy worn with trousers, even for a tall woman like Q. Max. And mixing the colours (yellow pants, green blouse) just makes it worse. Some days she just looks awful. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteDo you think some days she gets up and thinks to herself hmmm... what can I wear today to look like hell! (pardon my French)
ReplyDeleteOnly Maxima can dress up so terribly, clownish, not comb her hair, get a blanket for coat and leave to work...
ReplyDeleteHowever I do thank her as it was a joy to read all the above comments.
