On April 16, 2020, Queen Mathilde made a video call with staff of the Reine Marie Henriette Children's Home and children staying there. The Queen spoke with the children and care staff using words of encouragement in order to support the children during the corona crisis causing the absence of outside visits and activities. The Maison d’Enfants Reine Marie-Henriette ASBL was established in 1863 in the center of Brussels and is also known as “La Flèche”. It welcomes and helps children from zero to 14 years old, who come from families having difficulties of various kinds. |
I don't think I like her outfit.
ReplyDeletePasst aber farblich gut zum Zimmer !!
DeleteLéger manteau imprimé floral dont la couleur lui va à merveille ; joli petit haut de couleur rose-pale comme ses boucles d’oreilles !
ReplyDeleteMathilde actually looks better and younger with the not-so-well-kempt longer hair....

I agree. Her helmet hair style is very matronly.
DeleteThat makes two of us! 😉

Not too bad,but Mathilde is a beauty by itself.
ReplyDeleteI've like most of the Queen's flowery cheerful jackets but just don't like the colours in this one. Wonder what she's wearing with it ? (not scruffy track pants, I hope, or jeans as others are allegedly doing when video calling :))
ReplyDeleteThe beauty of video conferencing is that one can enjoy the perks of tabletop dressing.
DeleteHer hairdo makes her look much younger now while working from home then what she had before.

Oh what a marvellous organisation. Supporting children from this tender age is vital and wonderful work being done. Congratulations to these organisations especially in this pandemic, it must be very challenging. It is fantastic to see the Queen supporting them in this way.
ReplyDeleteShe looks fresh and casually chic.
