On April 23, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía took part in the reading out of Don Quixote, which was performed via internet. On every April 23, in order to commemorate the death of Miguel de Cervantes, there's a reading out of Don Quixote where each person reads out a chapter. Princess Eleanor and infanta Sofia took part in the event from their residence. The event was organized by the Círculo de Bellas Artes. |
The participation of the Princess of Asturias and the Infanta aimed to actively encourage reading habit in children and young people. It was the first time that the daughters of the Kings appeared in public. The two sisters were in charge of reading various fragments of the first chapter of the most important novel in literature. The reading was started by the poet Joan Margarit and then, Leonor and Sofia took part. |

Very charming beautiful girls reading from Don Quijote. Her parents have raised them well.
ReplyDeletePoised and confident girls. Brief, but well done!
ReplyDelete'Journalism' in Spain has feasted on the silliest examples to claim that their mother is overprotective and controlling (she meets with their tutors once or twice a month/ or, no personal phones). It seems that the parents are trying to cultivate an image of them as serious, cultured, and educated. Ana
Yes, well said Ana
DeleteI agree Ana , I think it must be jealousy as the girls are lovely , and poised young women.
DeleteIf true, Letizia sounds like an example for more parents to follow.

ReplyDeleteThe most beautifuls princesses in the world. By far.
