On April 17, 2020, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited CHR de la Citadelle Hospital in Liege, Walloon. During a meeting with various department heads, the King and Queen received information about the adapted organization of the hospital and the psychological support for the staff. Public hospital CHR de la Citadelle (Centre Hospitalier Régional) is one of the largest hospitals in the Liège region. |
A disaster of a jacket! The colour washes her out, and the jacket is too small in every direction; the top section pulls because the length of the section is wrong, and the circumference is insufficient, so she can't button it up. Too small, too small and too small, and it ain't gonna look anything but too small. - Ellie
ReplyDeletei think today her actions speak louder than her wadrope. Good on them to support health care workers

The jacket is really too tight, it must be uncomfortable and restrict some movements. Otherwise, nobody should really care about it.
DeleteWell done, and a lovely blazer/ blouse!
ReplyDeleteWell done for their support. Belgium seems to have been very badly hit for a country of its size.
ReplyDeleteIn Belgium we count differently than other countries people who died now we count them as a covid 19 died but that does not men that they died of covid 19

DeleteGreat look on Mathilde. Love the soft blue color on her.

Lovely blazer this is looking good on her. May we see a glimmer of normal?
ReplyDeleteIt's an odd looking and odd fitting jacket though a nice colour.
ReplyDeleteWhile I commend personal visits at a time like this (and I really do), I just wish they had maintained the 6' social distance like we see other Royals doing, whether Belgium requires it or not. Wearing a mask doesn't make it safer to disregard keeping ones distance. Though if their country is starting to open up (I don't know..are they?) perhaps this is their strategy.

No, we are still in 'lockdown'until May 3rd. Never forget these pictures are moments; maybe they kept distance but the doctor showed things for 30seconds or so... we have to keep 1,5m distance at all times, it would be strange if they did not do it in a hospital visit.
DeleteLike someone already said: our death rate is high because they count all who died in elderly homes with 1 symptom as covid-19 victims, even though they were not tested.
Le bleu-pâle du blazer/chemisier va bien à la blondeur de Mathilde ; mignonnes les petites boucles d'oreilles de la même couleur !
ReplyDeleteI love the mix of blues, and if her tailor moved the buttons over a bit, the jacket would look so much better. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteA great visit. I'm sure it was very uplifting for the staff. The Queen looked lovely.
ReplyDeletevery nice from the couple, but it is nog necessary to risk there health
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed with warm concerns of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium for hard works and selfless efforts of medical staffs of hospital amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
