King Carl Gustaf addressed the nation from Stenhammar Castle

On April 5, 2020, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden gave a televised address on the COVID-19 pandemic. On Sunday evening a special programme, "The King's Address to Sweden", was broadcast on SVT. King Carl Gustaf gave his speech from Stenhammar Castle in Södermanland County, where Their Majesties have been residing since the outbreak of the coronavirus in Sweden. (VIDEO)

    Nice of the King to try to assure that the RF feels with their Citizen, in this so difficult time. Hope this ends rather sooner than later, so everybody can go on with their life. I am sure this will be different for everyone.

    Although the Swede's softer measures and lack of action to combat spread of Covid-19 have drawn criticism. It's nice to see The King reassuring his nation.

    1. "Lack of action"? Definately not. The only difference to other countries is that Swedes don't need to be forced and threatened with police if we're not taking care. The King adresses this and are thanking the nation for being so sensible.
