| On April 10, 2020, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako received Shigeru Omi, head of the Japan Community Healthcare Organization, in order to get information about the current situation and about the state of emergency declaration issued by the government for Tokyo and 6 prefectures this week. Shigeru Omi is also a member of the government panel established for the outbreak. For the first time, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako received information from a government specialist and attended that one and a half hour information meeting. |
