I still remember that wonderful day, it was like a fairytale! And nine years later they have three absolutely adorable children...
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteIt was perfect occasion to share some unseen photos from the wedding and reception but no, they never do that...

But Happy Anniversary anyway because hey, it's not all about them is it?
DeleteIs this owed to you or something??
DeleteQuelle journée de rêve ; Kate était superbe et William plus chevelu qu'actuellement !
ReplyDelete9 years of bliss. It was a beautiful wedding. Happy 9th Wedding Anniversary and many more.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is one of my all time favourite wedding dresses. It’s style is timeless and classy, she chose well. And she grew perfectly into her role and will be a wonderful Queen consort.

DeleteStill wish she had chosen a better tiara but oh well. Happy Anniversary! Nine years *and* three kids - that's a lot.

It is up to the Queen, I liked it though, it looked great with those earrings

HM THe Queen tells you what tiara you will wear.
DeleteThe Queen allows them to choose a tiara, then she will ok it, if she chooses. The Queen does not tell the woman what to wear.
DeleteShe, Katherine, could have also chosen a tiara not in the royal collection such as one from the Spencer side of the family. (I think people sometimes forget that Diana did come with some of her own family jewels and access to the Spencer family tiara.) Katherine (and or her family) could have purchased (or secured) one on their own or commissioned a totally brand new one. *Or* she could have chosen not to wear one at all. (I remember the Duchess of York wearing flowers in her hair and not putting on a tiara until after she and the Duke of York were married and had signed the registry. )
DeleteIt has been my understanding that the bride is given a wide range of tiaras to choose from based on her own individual tastes and likes, what the dress and venue is going to be like as well any other jewelry she's planning to wear, and the history/sentimental value of the tiara. If she really has her heart set on something I really don't think the Queen would say, "No!" Katherine's choice very much reflects her tastes as we've come to know it, i.e. "not too fancy." She's not what I would call a "jewelry lover." (She's not a magpie like Queen Mary.) :-) *I* just felt that a slightly larger tiara would have looked better with her veil and thick hair. The one she choose - which is pretty (don't get me wrong) - sort of gets lost, imo. I think one with more height and a more attractive base (i.e. wrapped in grey or brown velvet) would have looked soooo much better. But again, jmo.

William und Katherine haben bis jetzt alles richtig gemacht - drei herzige Kinder und ein solides Leben im Dienste der Krone !! Ich wünsche den jungen Hoffnungsträgern der Monarchie alles Gute 💝
ReplyDeleteA beautiful couple. Happy anniversary.
ReplyDeleteAgree , they are a beautiful couple with adorable three angels.
DeleteGrace Kelly und Kate haben - für meinen Geschmack- die schönsten Brautkleider getragen.
ReplyDeleteNot sure where the time went! It was a beautiful day and anyone who loved Diana was especially happy to see one of her sons get married to someone he loves. Kate has been amazing at the role.
