The Duchess of Sussex gave an interview for the documentary "Elephant" to 'Good Morning America'. Disneynature’s Elephant, an original documentary narrated by the Duchess of Sussex, is now streaming on DisneyPlus. The interview was taped last Summer and broadcasted on Good Morning America on Monday, April 20. In the interview, the Duchess expressed gratitude for being involved in Disneynature's 'Elephant', as well as her special relationship with the animals. (VIDEO) |
The Duchess of Sussex's voice is in the background of the new Disneynature film, "Elephant," which premiered earlier this month on the streaming service Disneyplus. In the new film, the Duchess narrates the migration of an elephant named Shani and her family as they make an epic 1,000-mile, eight-month trek across Africa. The Elephant documentary is available on the streaming platform Disney and was released on April 3. The Duchess took part in Disney's documentary in order to make a donation to wild life association Elephants Without Borders. |

Gradually we will forget about her....
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope you are speaking for yourself.
DeleteVery understated "look" and dress code for her interview. Meghan and Harry have cultural and background difference the size of an ELEPHANT between them. If they find in their lives the love and care Meghan talks about that exists between elephants, they should have a very happy and long life together. Good luck to them in finding their path as a newly married couple.
One can only hope. However, Hollywood types often don't fade quietly. As for her fashion, atleast her extensions are combed. Just a vanity project because she was around elephants once.
DeleteChel
I've already forgotten her and that's a good thing. Frieda
DeleteWho is this? As she is not royal, (though I believe she may currently be married to the man formerly known as Prince ---now "just call me"----Harry, do we need to hear about her? :)
DeleteGo get a life. Hater.
DeleteSo "Anonymous" 11:07 is the first of the usual "Anonymousses" who call other people "hater".
DeleteFor as much as you would like, you obviously cannot thus spending time commenting. She is a good influence, as is her husband, and we look forward to what they are doing. He is a Royal by birth and she by marriage.
DeleteMaryT, if you feel that way, why remark at all? Why take something with a positive and turn it into a negative? Money went to a worthwhile charity. If you are serious about forgetting her, try avoiding topics about her. It would be a good start. SMH
DeleteBecause you are!
Deletemeghan aint going anywhere are you forgetting they will be kids involved ha ha!!
DeleteJudging others makes us blind, whereas love is illuminating. By judging others we blind ourselves to our own evil and to the grace which others are just as entitled to as we are.
DeleteWhat are you suffer? I think deserve a happy life! You really do!
Magnifique implication dans "Elephant" de la part de Meghan... Je possède une modeste collection de petits objets représentant un éléphant ; je ne m'en sépare pas même si ce sont des "nids à poussière".. Superbe sa médaille-horoscope du Sagittaire !
ReplyDeleteI like her necklace. I don't see enough of her outfit to judge the styling of her buttondown.
ReplyDeleteI understand that Meghan loves elephants and feels a connection to them but I don't feel she was the right narrator for this project. When I think if some of the previous narrators of Disney documentaries they have such distinctive voices (James Earl Jones, John C. Reilly, Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson) the tone of Meghan's voice just isn't as distinctive to me. Her tone is pleasant just not as impactful. I'm an American and it has nothing to do with her accent.
E.B.B.
All of the stellar voices named are men. Continuing the bias where high profile men get plum roles well into their seventies, and women are washed up by forty. Welcome to the XXI century of equal opportunity.
DeleteThe intent is to simplify the natural world for children...Disney's main market. Most teachers of young children are women so this documentary presented by a woman, will find its audience. MB
Her voice sounds alright. Its just difficult to see her the same way as before (Pre Duchess) with all this drama surrounding her and the court hearing exposing her true character.
DeleteJ.
E.B.B., I hope you will not be accused of being "hateful" for your comment...
DeleteAnon 5:51 PM: That's right. She's maneuvered herself into that corner so needlessly, almost tragic, really. But as a grown woman she should have known all this before her wedding, but between ourselves, of course trailer and headlines like "narrated by Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex" sound much better than only "narrated by plain old Meghan Markle". I see.... Frieda
DeleteMaybe impactful was the wrong and I should have said recognizable. Meghan sounds like my female family members who live in CA. I couldn’t distinguish her speaking voice from another’s. Holly Hunter, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Tilly, Judi Dench, Viola Davis are all actresses with distinct voices to name a few.
DeleteE.B.B
@Frieda. You are right. Having never lived in such an environment, she should have known what she was getting into. She maneuvered herself into an enclosure of wealth, privilege, jewels, light work if you can call it that, galas, curtsying commoners, free houses, cars, gobs of taxpayer money, an empty title...then threw it all away to live in LA and compete with up and coming, or established actresses.(nothing will be handed to her if the studios cannot make a profit. It's the American way). Who knew that refusing free money to earn your own living was tragic....really! Like many people who have emigrated from Britain for centuries, they are taking a leap of faith. Wish them well, it's the decent thing to do. -Ana
DeleteI like her voice very much. I think she is a very good choice for the film. She looks nice here. - Siri
ReplyDeleteWhen I read the comment of E.B.B. I thought, that I wouldn´t like it, but I do.
ReplyDeleteIt´s time for women to recognize that their position in social society is not only the resource. As a nurse, as a doctor, as a houseceeper (hospital), as a nanny, shop-assistent - they are poorly paid because they are the ones who have children.
I rwally like her soft voice and she's a very good choice for the film. She looks nice here. - Siri
ReplyDeleteJoann
DeleteI too like her voice. It's very soothing and expressive. I think a woman to voice this documentary was a good choice because of the family connection elephants have with each other. And the matriarch apparently plays a crucial role in the herd. I just heard a brief clip of the documentary and I think she sounded fine.
I did not recognize her voice,oh well.
ReplyDeleteLovely, soothing voice, well done!!
ReplyDeleteShe has no relevancy for me.
ReplyDeleteLikewise you have no relevancy to her.
DeleteI'm not suppose to. Lol
DeleteWhy do you bother then? Save your words for things that matter to you CH
DeleteI bother because admin lets us express our opinions on this site. I've been reading posts here for several years, and really like the content. Markle has disconnected from the RF, so why should I be interested in what she is doing or saying? To me, it seems she is only interested in self promotion.
DeleteBut here you are contradicting yourself by showing interest. Not a good look. A.
DeleteCritical responders have to defend themselves very often, here but on other royal fawning sites as well.... only admiration allowed.....
DeleteLily T.
Well Coleman, if you aren't interested why bother to writer about her... seems odd to me...
DeleteA little obsessive perhaps? When something is of no interest to me, I don't read it, watch it, or talk about it, hummmm something to think about?
I browse through each post on the site. If I want to express an opinion I do. Nothing obsessive about it.
Delete@PB Coleman: The problem is when your opinion contradicts your opinion. Ridiculous.
Delete- Anon 9:13
Agree with Anon 5:47 if you´re not interested why are you looking?
DeleteMM is in the "charts" of google within 10. You are much more interested than normal if you make a comment.

Meghan and Harry have stated that they will not use their titles unless they represent the royal family. Why doesn't Meghan have the last name in the headlines?: "Narrated by Meghan Mountbatten -Windsor / or Meghan Markle"."
ReplyDeleteShe seems to desperately need a title.
And no, I don't envy her title. I also have one -
from university- it is more valuable because it is deserved.
She has one too, went to school just like you, and she was probably smarter than you.
DeleteAgree with Anon 5:48
DeleteIn the end, when she says, "that's why its very important for me to be able to tell this story", she emphasizes the word "me" and pauses after she says that for even more emphasis. I'm sorry to say that I think its a 'tell' about her focus.
ReplyDeleteThe soft delicate pieces of jewellery I like very much. A understated look, crisp white shirt, one which we have seen similar, she looks appropriately dressed for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see and hear her again! A worthy cause. I wish them health and happiness in their new life!
ReplyDeleteGitte
She has a lovely voice, and sounds very conforting.
ReplyDeleteGood non profit work, way to go!!
The plight of elephants is terrible;they are really such gentle creatures.
ReplyDeleteI still don’t understand the cunami of hate she and Harry gets, no matter what. People are truly evil and silly for believing so many lies about them. I feel sorry for them because they had to experience it from first hand. The film looks interesting and I like Meghan’s voice.
ReplyDeleteI can understand the hate. "To act as the king of the jews" - similar catagory.
DeleteSome people don´t see a non-violent solution. Some people don´t see a cool alternative than bullying others. Consequently they are called "aggressive“, „antisocial”, and „without empathy“.
Some people are teachers in the morning and effectiv bullies in the evening. The goal of them is to assert their own interests with violence.
There are not many theorys of violence, but there are some one of the "beginners" was Hannah Arenth. "Generally speaking, violence always arises out of imotence. It is the hope of those who have no power.." Bullying is just a medium.
Henry wird wohl nur mehr als Mittel zum Zweck " gebraucht $ ??
ReplyDeleteI too thought thay I understood that they would drop their title, but upon googling it, it seems that they will ‘not use HRH’ part of the title.
ReplyDeleteOMG doesn't decency exists anymore? Bad behaviour only tell us who you are not the person you are stepping all over. Is this the way you want to be treated or your family? If not why do you think this is ok vice versa? Try to behave a respectful adults. #feelingashamed over the so called adult population ...
ReplyDeleteIt escapes me why people are so concerned about the titles and whether they are Royals anymore. Harry will always be the grandson of the Queen regardless if he uses the HRH. I personally think that he cares a lot less than some of you. The intentions were very clear when they decided not to accept titles for their son, their choice, their lives, now, you all nosy Nancies need to get a life and stop acting all offended and stomping your feet, your opinions about how they should live their lives is irrelevant.
ReplyDeleteAgree, can not understand why people are concerned about their titles and not about the title of Prince Andrew and others who are giving interviews and show that they have no empathy..
DeleteI never said I didn't like Meghan's voice. I said that it was pleasant but that I don't find find it distinguishable/ easily recognizable. I think the choice of narrator for documentaries and audio books is important and she wouldn't be my first choice that is all.
ReplyDeleteE.B.B.
Perhaps for you, but that still leaves many millions of people on the planet. Most people had never heard her speak so of course her voice is unrecognizable. Thank goodness your expertise in audio is not consulted or the same few voices would read everything on all topics...Perhaps Fergie should not read stories to children for the same reason.
DeleteFrom what I can tell from the short clip, I think her voice is fine, and I like her clothing choice. A white shirt is a classic. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI like elephants, I like Meghan’s voice, I like Harry, and I dislike all your ugly comments... SMH, get a life, live your life to the fullest, and stop being so mean.
ReplyDeleteDitto!
ReplyDeleteHarry and Meghan did a choice. Now it is time to let them go and be free.
ReplyDeleteYes, and we wish them well.
DeleteI still find her more interesting and confident than kate and she sure knows how to work it!!!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with you. Not that I dislike Kate, - I don't, but you're absolutely correct, and I like that about Meghan. I also suspect that this is the reason many people strongly dislike her. She is not in the mold of a Royal Stepford wife like people think royalty should be.
Delete- Anon 9:13
For godness sake we are grown ups. Stop the hate! Bad behavior just says who we are ourselves. Treat people even royals the same way you want to be treated yourself!
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely, with understated elegance. She performed the voice over very well. I say BRAVO, Duchess! I remember what it is like to grow up rich in Christian upbringing and love, but poor in financial circumstances. It makes me appreciate Meghan's background and dedication to hard work all the more. Don't judge her too harshly just because she did not grow up with a silver spoon in hr mouth. BTW, when I worked in public service for many years, I often sent email reports to my boss and staff at 11 p.m. And sometimes I got replies back at 12:30 a.m. and no one complained. So why pick on Meghan for her long working hours. Staff can't handle it: real simple, quit and go work at a department store and let someone else have the job who is willing to work and be grateful to have a job. Sorry, for sounding off, but I know what it is like to work hard and smart to have a have a good career.
