Princess Aiko, the only child of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, graduated from high school on March 22, 2020. Princess Aiko attended a graduation ceremony held at Gakushuin Girls’ Senior High School in Tokyo. Starting from April, Princess Aiko will continue her education at the Department of Japanese Language and Literature of the Gakushuin University’s Faculty of Letters in Tokyo. |
During and before the graduation ceremony, Princess Aiko wore a face mask as a protection against the coronavirus. Her parents did not attend the graduation ceremony. |

Congratulations to her. She looks better in her school uniform than with some of her outfits.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I must agree.
DeleteA very lovely young girl. The school uniform looks good on her.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to a lovely young woman!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to her. At least her school got to finish the school year. For so many kids in so many countries the school year/term will most likely remain unfinished. Work for it will have to be made up at another time.
ReplyDeleteYears/decades from now people will look back at photos and images from this time and so very many of them will be images of friends and family with masks on. Young people will ask, "Why ...?" and everyone will have their own story to tell about "The Virus" of 2020(+) and how it affected and changed the whole world at once. It turned everything upside down and sideways. Sad. Be safe every one and best of luck to you and yours.

Congratulations for the graduation! Agree with the previous comments, Princess Aiko looks very nice in her uniform and much better than usual outfits, but more I regret she could not be the heir to the throne of Japan as a result of the strict rules in force.
