| King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway are making a 3 day state visit to Jordan on March 2-4 at the invitation of King Abdullah II. The visit takes place 20 years after the state visit made in the year of 2000 by the King and Queen of Jordan to Norway and this is the first state visit of King Harald to the Middle East. |
| The state visit began with an official welcoming ceremony held in the capital, Amman and King Harald and Queen Sonja were welcomed by King Abdullah, Queen Rania and Crown Prince Hussein at the ceremony. After an official luncheon featuring Norwegian seafood at the Royal Palace, King Harald and Queen Sonja attended the opening of the seminar "Future Partnerships: Jordan-Norway Business Forum". |

DeleteBoth queens look fabulous. Queen Sonja is lovely in her brown and teal dress with shawl and coordinating necklace and bracelet. Queen Rania's white dress is beautiful but, to me, a bit sterile. Although her purse and shoes offer a bit of contrast, it would have been nice if she had added a colorful brooch, or, perhaps, a colorful belt. Her posture is impeccable.
ReplyDeleteQueen Rania and Queen Sonja both look so beautiful (and everyone has amazing posture!). Raina looks very regal, and I love the pewter blue and brown color combination of Sonja’s ensemble. I’m excited that this visit is happening, and expect that these two elegant royal ladies will be bringing us some glorious fashion in the next couple of days 🙂.

ReplyDeleteRania's dress is quite exquisite, different take on your typical trench style, the impolute white is crisp and clean, that being said, perhaps because of the length, it gives me a nun habit vibe. I am not in love with her hair, those elastic bands are too fussy for me. I won't dare say she looks bad, just a little off.

I like Q Sonja's dress,very nice ,so is that of Q Rania. Q Rania's dress is a stunner. Great look on both ladies.

DeleteQueen Rania looks beautiful and so elegant, in this well tailored coat dress, love the length, it fits perfectly, lovely folds of fabric flowing within the skirt. Handbag and shoes are sensational. Queen Sonja's dress looks very pretty, love the choice of shawl and colour. Her shoes, clutch and gloves are the perfect choice.
ReplyDeleteThe colors on Sonja are very complementary to her. Her dress is quite elegant without being too fussy. Rania looks great from the waist up. I think the skirt part is just too full, but her hair is fantastic.

Love Queen Sonja's outfit, beautiful and unusual colour combination which looks great on her. Queen Rania always looks elegant and I like the idea of the coat but it's too long for my liking, even with fab shoes. So impressed by her wonderful posture when seated (in the last photo)

ReplyDeleteI am not as enamored by QRania this time. There's a fine line between minimalist and too little and this falls into the latter category for me. She does look lovely, her hair and make up are great. Not a big fan of the dress as it is.
