The Countess of Wessex visited children and carers at Shooting Star Children's Hospice. The Countess spent time talking with children and families at the Hospice and joined the children in decorating heart-shaped biscuits ahead of Valentine’s Day. The charity supports and provides palliative care to families with children who are not expected to reach the age of 19 because of illness, genetic conditions or incurable disease. |
The Countess of Wessex is Patron of the charity and officially opened the Guildford Hospice, Christopher’s in 2002. The Hospice provides a range of care services, such as specialist nursing, short breaks, end-of-life care and bereavement support. |
Charmante, lumineuse Sophie ; j'aime beaucoup son manteau.. Quand on le voit fermé, cela doit être plus que parfait... Adorables petites boucles d'oreilles !
ReplyDeleteGood job… The Countess looks nice, this hairstyle suits her very well.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a nice outfit on her, especially with the beautiful coat. I’m never going to like those plastic hair clips, but I guess she does ;-). (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI like the way we gradually get to see a little more of the Countesses' full ensemble one photo at a time as we scroll down. I like the combination of the three colours very much, and I love the coat.
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing it all, the colour of her nail polish made some sense, though a richer chocolate or cognac colour would have been better if she wanted to coordinate that much.
A wonderful charity to support.

Sophie has such a warm and engaging way about her. She looks great today in the black shirt and cream trousers. Her hair is fine pulled back...just wish she would lose the giant hair clip.

I enjoy seeing Sophie at her engagements, she seems like such a warm and caring lady. She looks good in her outfit, good accessories. I like her hair in a ponytail, but I do wish she would do a proper ponytail, instead of the clip (just a minor thing).

I think she is one big jewel in the crown.
ReplyDeleteShe really looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely. So nice to see she made the little girls day.
ReplyDeleteI like everything about Sophie's look today except that hair clip. I am sure that the carers and parents and children she visited thought nothing about the hair clip, but were touched by the Countess's kindness.
ReplyDeleteI think when she wears a hair clip to informal events like this it puts her audience at ease to see that she's just as human as any one of them. And I'm all for that if she wants it (and actually think that her hair looks pretty good with a hair clip.)

This is a lovely outfit. I love the subtle pieces of jewellery. The coat is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI know oversized coats are trendy these days, but for Sophie they don’t work all that well. This looks like a very good quality coat, with a good design, I feel that if it were a size smaller, it would be much better.
ReplyDeleteThe black turtleneck is nice and comfortably elegant, cannot tell how her pants look and fit, but overall seems a good balance of colour coordination and contrast. Slightly puzzled by the combination of a heavy coat and thick turtleneck with delicate indoor stilettos, but certainly she didn’t walk outside much beyond getting out of the car...
As far as the plastic hair clip goes, it’s quite puzzling how she doesn’t seem to find anything better to replace it, these days there are so many nice hair accessories at all price levels.
Still, her determination and resolve to keep a positive attitude and march ahead.
