On February 12, Queen Silvia visited Silviahemmet Foundation's Lotsens nursing and care home in Nynäshamn. The home was founded in 1996 on the initiative of the Queen and since its foundation, has worked to increase knowledge and skills in the dementia area. In November, approximately 30 employees attended the education program of Lotsens nursing and care home, which aims to contribute to the highest possible quality of life for people with dementia, regardless of the degree of illness, and their relatives. |
Belle Silvia dans ce tailleur-jupe ou pantalon ? Le foulard rouge apporte une petite touche de couleur lumineuse !
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to see the joy in the face of the old lady in the first picture!
ReplyDeleteAgree! That woman likely remembers the wedding of Queen Silvia and the King and has some degree of face recognition. How lovely.

ReplyDeleteQueen Silvia’s philanthropic engagement is always remarkable and this visit is important. The jacket combined with the red silk scarf is well chosen for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteVery much agreed on her service. And what a good addition of the scarf.

Always nice to see her. And no drama in that royal house!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see her concern for Dementia patients. She is doing a great job. Q Silvia looks good btw.
ReplyDeleteQueen Silvia's black and white jacket paired with the red scarf is gorgeous. As someone who has experienced the effect of dementia on a loved one and those of us who cared for her, I am touched by the Queen's interaction with the residents of this care home and the caregivers. Her beauty goes far beyond her physical appearance.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic visit. That first photo, the Queen looks so sincere, gracious and warm, her smile lit up the room, she really shone on this visit. Her outfit is superb. Love the black and white jacket, it is gorgeous. Coupled with the black skirt by the look of it and beautiful red silk scarf, divine outfit. This would have been very uplifting visit for both patients and staff.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree
DeleteLovely and remarkable in every single way. Dedicated to her work beyond what one would expect and doing it with class and quiet elegance.
