On February 6, 2020, Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited Sainte-Marie Institute in Châtelet to attend a round table discussion. During the discussion, the Queen received information about the professional approach and pedagogical methods used against bullying in the school. The Queen also talked to the students of first stage of secondary education about how to deal with conflict situations in practice. |
Nice outfit for Mathilde today, just don't like the booth way above the knees.
ReplyDeleteSorry, no! Don’t like being negative, but really what was Mathilde thinking? Dreadful colour which makes the Queen look drained and tired. Don’t like the cut of the skirt and the boots are awful
ReplyDeleteThis outfit looks great. It is a bit more edgy. From what I can see. The Queen looks superb.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you Ava Pittman.
DeleteMe too!
DeleteSomeone made a comment that this outfit is 'edgy', not really, it screams, dont' put me together with that awful skirt, though the blouse/shirt is nice, the colors make her appear tired, drawn, tired, and pale as a ghost. She has the budget, get a dresser, and use common sense to dress.... JT
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks great and I think the skirt is nice.
ReplyDeleteI like the outfit in theory, but I agree that the colour is not the best for her. I think that changing out the accessories would help - one of her larger gold necklaces instead of the statement earrings would bring some sparkle and light to her face. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI actually like Mathilde’s outfit here very much. I think the style and color scheme is very sophisticated, and not unbecoming to the Queen — but I’m sure that part of the appeal for me is the visual surprise that always occurs when admirably proper, ladylike Mathilde wears leather (or in this case, suede). It happens rarely, of course, and when it does it looks adorably daring :-D.
ReplyDeleteI am a little older than Mathilde, and I wouldn't wear much of anything she wears. It is all too matronly, as is her hair. Seeing her boots were such a great surprise! They are fablous! I would love to see her wear more youthful outfits and get a more youthful hairstyle.
ReplyDeleteI don't think this hairstyle is matronly!! (Sometimes it is) I like it far more than the one of GrDu Maria Theresa. I have reservations towards the association of so much grey, accessories and makeup should compensate; however I would not say that it is matronly neither.
ReplyDeleteShe is lovely...just a pop of color would help make outfit less bland..bold necklace or pin or maybe scarf???
ReplyDeleteLa Souveraine n'est jamais aussi belle que lorsqu'Elle porte des Cuissardes. Cela lui donne une allure Autoritaire.
