On February 13, 2020, Crown Princess Victoria hosted 7-year-old Emilia from Skåne at the Royal Palace. Emilia, who suffers from a brain tumor, expressed a desire to meet the Crown Princess. 7-year-old Emilia from Trelleborg traveled to Stockholm together with her parents and sister Maja in order to meet the Crown Princess. Emilia has a kind of brain tumor, ependymoma, and through the charity organization My Big Day, her wish to meet the Crown Princess was thus fulfilled. |
Min Stora Dag is a nationwide organization that collaborates with all hospitals and other health care providers in Sweden to make seriously ill children have good experiences. Princess Madeleine is patron of Min Stora Dag. These activities are organized by Min Stora Dag and it tries to realize the dreams of children staying at pediatrics hospitals of the country and suffering life risks. |
Simply lovely. And what a cute purse!
ReplyDeleteA kind gesture from CP Victoria. Her dress is lovely too - soft and feminine. Something the little girls would like. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteAbsolut herzlich. Ich freue mich für Emilia, dass ihr Wunsch in Erfüllung ging (und alle sehen fantastisch aus-besonders die bd. Schwestern). Schöne Fotos.

How wonderful! It must have been a huge thrill for these little girls to find themselves surrounded by the splendor of an opulent royal palace. CP Victoria chose a very pretty dress and impressive earrings for the occasion; I’m sure her guests were not disappointed. I recall that several years back, Princess Madeleine hosted a group of children for Min Stora Dag, and wore a sparkly gown and a tiara for the occasion. I think the readers of the blog that reported on it were even more over-the-moon about it than the kids, lol 😁.
ReplyDelete2016 was the year that Princess Madeleine hosted the kids that you mention. Even the King has met kids to make their dreams come true.
DeleteShe wore the aquamarine tiara and it set off her eyes and we were all agog.
DeleteAfter seeing the photos of the day, I was impressed by the effort the palace clearly went through for the kids. There were footmen dressed in livery, all the candles in that room were lit, and Princess Madeleine was all dressed up with her tiara (that takes effort!) amidst a lot of kids. That took effort and patience! (And yeah, the tiara looked fab on her!).
DeleteThis is my favorite thing all week! And clearly the staff were into to it as well.
ReplyDeleteThe young ladies are dressed wonderfully and CPV is stunning in this floral dress. It's a lot of fabric but has a warmth to it that really works. She looks lovely.
What a lovely heart warming event!
ReplyDeleteFashion takes second place for me at events of this nature, but I will say that Victoria looks lovely and the two little girls are adorable. Their dresses are perfect and everyone looks wonderful in a beautiful setting. God bless them all.

Quelles adorables petites filles craquantes dans leur mignonne robe.. Il faut remercier Victoria d'avoir exaucé le souhait d'Emilia !
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful charity, similar to Make-A-Wish in my country. The children look so adorable, here's hoping they had a truly magical day!

Victoria had heard that they like horses, so she arranged for them to get a horse ride with the royal court's horses. https://youtu.be/BTxsGZA9Dn4
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice gesture from the CPss,to host little Emilia and her family. Hope something can be done for Emilia medically that is. Victoria's dress looks lovely, so do the dresses of Emilia and her sister.
ReplyDeleteLittle Emilia is basically the same age as Princess Estelle, which might have more of an impact on Crown Princess Victoria. In any event, a lovely gesture from Victoria.
ReplyDeleteEmilia apparently also loves horses; so Victoria arranged for a horse-drawn carriage ride for Emilia & her family around the palace courtyard.
All the best to Emilia.

Yes, the joy of the event over rides any fashion comment. A truly human gest on the part of Pss Victoria.
DeleteSimply outstanding, what a great visit. CP Victoria did amazingly well, with Emilia. I also read about the horse carriage ride CP Victoria organised. Both little girls looked so beautiful. CP Victoria looked superb. Sending you lots of hugs Emilia, and all the best to you darlin. xxx
ReplyDeleteI give a shit in fashion, but Victoria made these girls so happy and that is price less.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! It's soo good to see that there are royals who will take time out of their busy schedules to meet those whose wish is to meet them. I know they can't meet everyone and all the requests but it must be life changing. Sweet girl! - Capt. Marvel
ReplyDeleteIt is very warm of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden to grant wishes of a little ill girl, Emilia which is to meet Crown Princess Victoria. It must become a priceless memory in her life.
