On January 31, 2020, King Felipe and Queen Letizia received Spanish women's and men's national water polo teams at Madrid Zarzuela Palace. Spanish Women's National Team became European champion for the second time in its history, after beating Russian national team in the final of the 34th LEN European Championship in Budapest. Spanish Men's team lost the final against Hungary and took second in the championship. (The Queen wore a wool sweater and trousers by Hugo Boss.) |
Love the shoes but a big NO to the high-water pants!
ReplyDeletePants are ok for her, different pants heights can be attractive.
DeleteTrès jolie avec ce pull et pantalon de couleur rouge mais les escarpins remplacés par des chaussures moins hautes à talon carré auraient mieux convenu à sa silhouette !
ReplyDeleteI agree as well
DeleteAt first I thought I didn’t like the cropped pants, but if anyone can make them work, it’s Letizia — and she does. It’s the top that bothers me. While it’s ok, I think that a crisp white blouse — or maybe a white blouse with a subtle pinstripe — would have worked better, and looked more appropriate.
ReplyDeleteAll red for the Spain's champions, that's the point. She always wear the Spanish colour to welcone the champions, it is not fashion.
DeleteThank you, Anonymous at 7:40 PM 🙂
DeleteIt's almost the 5th time she has worn this outfit, bought on sales.
ReplyDeleteSusana
She is wearing red because it is the Spanish colour to meet the Spain's Polo team.
ReplyDeleteShe is perfect
ReplyDeleteYes indeed
DeleteGreat color nice look just wish the pant was regular length.
ReplyDeleteSame.
DeleteAlmost imposible, you go shopping and all trousers are like that, you need to do an Odisey to find regular ones.
DeleteI don't think these pants - and it's the length, not really the pants - are attractive on anyone. It doesn't matter the shoes or boots. It's just a really odd location for a hem. Not really Capri, not really true ankle length, just wrong. And if Leti can't make them look good .... Case closed.
ReplyDeleteEuropa.
True
DeleteI'll be the odd man out and say I actually like this look. The red for Spain. I like the monochromatic look, she does this well. The fit is perfect, and I don't mind the crop of the trousers. I will say, I do like the sweater on the model (in the Boss advert). As usual, great hair and makeup. I know people question why she has worn this so much, but why not? Spanish economy isn't exactly incredible right now, and normal people wear clothes a lot. I think it's a smart move.

The Spanish economy now? It is much better than some years ago. However Letizia gets a limit salary to her, she needs to manage and it is public, not only for clothes, people do not like a clothes horse strolling around if not a hard working monarchy
DeleteThe Queen looks great, I love this ensemble. Love the cut and style of the pants, the addition of the buttons on the sleeves define the jumper well. Red is definitely her colour. Her shoes are the perfect finishing touch. Her makeup is on point so natural. Total win for me.
Very awkward length for this particular cut. The probably are supposed to be worn with totally different shoes, both in shape and heel height. Also likely tailored for a taller person. Proof that not every combination of designer clothes/footwear works just by throwing it together.

She looks fantastic, as usual. Red is her best color. I have no issue with the length of the pants. She makes it work.
