The Duchess of Cornwall (known as the Duchess of Rothesay while in Scotland), Chancellor of The University of Aberdeen, presented The Princess Royal with an Honorary Degree in recognition of her contribution to public life. The Princess Royal, who received the Degree of Doctor of Laws, has made a simply outstanding contribution to public life and sport for more than four decades and much of her work relates to education and charities based in Scotland. She is also linked with another 300 charities, organizations and military troops in the UK and overseas |
Awww What a lovely family celebration and it's not often you see the two sisters in law together and looking so cheerful. It is such a deserved honour for the Princess Royal, who has always championed Scottish causes and continues to go about doing good without fuss or publicity. She seemed to be such a grumpy teen and has become such a star.
ReplyDeletePersonally I can't get past the fact that Camilla needs an appropriate brassiere with good support.
ReplyDeleteWell we try but Camilla must not read this blog. I totally agree about the undergarment support needing an uplift.
DeleteRight, It ruins the lines of her outfits
DeleteAbsolutely! Is there no one close enough to tell her and then, take her shopping?
Delete(Brasssiere's)Right and that is important..??.Well as a University graduate myself; I applaud The Chancellor for making such an award to a certainly deserving Princess
DeleteThe ladies both look magnificent in their robes. Both fantastic role models; I would have loved to have heard the speeches.Tara
Well my dear university graduate, in my world education does not exclude wearing appropriate underwear, much to the contrary.
DeleteMy comment is not in any way a criticism to her endeavors, just a question of her sartorial choices which is what this blog is about.
You can disagree with me ( many do) but the fact that you feel the need to let us know that you graduated from university, like if that was a rare accomplishment, is just a little silly.
After all is 2020, women do graduate on regular basis.
Have a good day!!
Cherry B
I’m a university graduate myself and I applaud this recognition of Anne’s achievements. But this is a fashion blog and there is nothing wrong with commenting on how much better her clothes would fit if she wore the proper undergarments.
DeleteI disagree, Cherry B, 9:18 PM
DeleteCamilla has very big boobs- and a lift up, will look like 'a shelf' and the clothes will sit bad and artificially, like silcone breasts!
Camilla has a skilled tailor and stylist, who knows her figure and age,IMO !
AM
"my dear university graduate"
DeleteWhat a catty, obnoxious thing to write. Some of us are quite done with Ms cherry blossom and her attitude that reflects her pride.
Penelope
Penelope, CB expressed her opinion which some us share without dissing any commentator, the next person (Tara) clearly responded to her with a condescending comment, she is the one talking about her degrees real or imaginary. Maybe some of the people navigating on these sites need to appreciate the fact that you can disagree without getting personal. I don't know what you mean by " some of us" being done with a person that obviously has different views from you, but it's very simple, just move on.
DeleteIncidentally, I fully agree that Camilla needs better undergarments, period.
Elaine
AM, I disagree with you. Being a mature woman with very big bust and a small frame, I do have some experience on this field, you can find great brassieres that not only lift but also minimize the volume.
DeleteI used to spend a fortune in bras that never fit properly and caused me back and shoulder pain, one day I walked into a Nordstrom Department Store and the woman in the lingerie department measured me and recommended the right type of undergarment, for years I had been buying the wrong size and the wrong style. I can assure you that my bust doesn't look artificial or exaggerate and my blouses fit like a dream, granted they are a bit expensive but totally worth the money.
Penelope, as a rule I don't engage in arguments in a forum that serves as entertainment . I responded to Tara because she alluded directly to me with a comment that in my opinion was somewhat condescending, and yes I was a bit sarcastic, but not disrespectful or mean, and I certainly didn't imply that she was catty or obnoxious, that is how you describe my opinion. You are entitled to dislike my comments, but your adjectives towards me are completely out of line. I dare you to find any of my comments on which I insult either the subjects of this blog or the participants.
DeleteMoving forward you may want to just ignore me, and concentrate about the issue at hand which is Royal fashion, in the meantime I wish you a great day.
Ha, Penelope, I have been thinking the same thing, well said.
DeleteSadie
Ha, Sadie I disagree with Penelope. I also disagree with people applauding her words. They are divisive and instigate arguments,
Deletejust because she doesn’t share certain opinions.
I find CB comments, direct but never disrespectful.
Camilla needs a new bra, I don’t much care for her fashion sense, that is why I rarely comment on that respect. I have my own opinion about her role today and her role in the past, however this is not the forum for such discussions.

These two Royal ladies seem to be comfortable with each other. Nice for Pss Anne getting an honorable degree from her sister in law. I like Anne's outfit nice color and neckline. I like Camilla' coat but not crazy about the plaid pockets and collar.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet...I think they both had fun doing this job as sisters in law.
ReplyDeleteFrieda
Absolut. Finde ich auch.
Delete-Elisabeth-
Quel plaisir de voir les deux belles-soeurs qui ont eu l'air de s'amuser tout en s'appréciant.. Belle couleur pour Anne mais le manteau de Camilla sans ce col et les revers de poches à carreaux aurait été plus élégant !
ReplyDeleteso nice to see this two ladies together :-)
ReplyDeleteCamilla looks fantastic and Anne also does :-)
I so admire the way she weathered all the bad press at the beginning and how she has become an important and loved member of the royal family. Camilla and Anne seem to genuinely like each other.
ReplyDeleteSuch a spot on comment. She has become invaluable to them, she is at Charles's side and bring warmth and humor. I like her a lot and am so glad, for all the troubles, that they ended up with one another.
DeleteAnd she wears the Grenville tiara like no one's business.
What a classy lady Camilla is. I just love her.
DeleteTo be honest: I always liked her. She is an important asset to the RF and especially to Charles. He has become softer with her and more accessible. Moreover she is always dressed appropriate. Frieda
DeleteAnytime you get a full-on smile from Anne is a good day!
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful to see the ladies out and about together. Princess Anne looks marvelous in her black coat and red scarf. I am not a fan of Camilla's coat, but I am sure that her suit underneath is very pretty. She looks terrific in her Chancellor's robe. Well done ladies.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see the ladies out together. I really like Camilla's coat.
ReplyDeleteIch mag Camilla. Es scheint für sie fast immer ein riesen Spaß zu sein. Sie verbreitet gute Laune.
ReplyDeleteUnd sie hat für sich einen guten Kleidungsstil gefunden
There’s something old class that Camilla exudes. In particular when outfitted with the ceremonial robe.
ReplyDeleteLily A
Lovely to see the two together. The Princess Royal is an extremely hard worker.
ReplyDeleteAs for the uplift thing, I noticed this long ago, please someone get the Camilla to a top notch bra fitter, asap.
