The Countess of Wessex celebrates her 55th birthday today

The Countess of Wessex turned 55 today. On the occasion of the birthday, Buckingham Palace released a photo of the Countess on its official social media account. The Countess was born Sophie Helen Rhys-Jones on 20 January 1965 in Oxford. Sophie is married to Queen Elizabeth II’s youngest son, Prince Edward. The couple has two kids: Lady Louise Windsor and James Viscount Severn.

A full-time working member of the Royal Family, The Countess of Wessex splits her time between her work in support of The Queen and visits to a large number of her own charities and organisations. She has a wide range of interests which include supporting people with disabilities, the prevention of blindness in developing countries, agriculture and fashion. Happy 55th birthday to the Countess of Wessex and Forfar.

    Superbe photo où les couleurs blanche et rose sont très flatteuses... J'ai toujours aimé le naturel de Sophie ; il faut reconnaître qu'elle ne fait pas son âge... Souhaitons-lui un bon et heureux anniversaire !

      I was thinking the same thing when I saw this post regarding Sophie. While making some mistakes early on, she has shown how to earn the people's respect!

    Sophie is British, therefore she was well aware of all the pomp and ceremony that unfortunately comes with marrying into the Firm.
