Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene took part in the celebrations of Sainte Devote 2020

Principality of Monaco currently celebrates the traditional Sainte Devote Day. On January 27, 2020, in connection with Sainte Devote celebrations, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene attended the Pontifical Mass held at Monaco Cathedral. Thereafter, Prince Albert, Princess Charlene with their children Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques greeted the crowd from the balcony of the Palace during the celebrations. Saint Devote is the patron saint of the Grimaldi family which reigns in Monaco.

    Princess Charlene is strikingly beautiful. Her blue blazer, gloves and shoes bring out the muted blue of the gorgeous skirt, and the scarf is a great accent. Prince Albert's suit and tie coordinate nicely with Charlene's ensemble. The children are, as always, adorable. Jacques seems more subdued, like his mother, than the precocious Gabriella.

      Agree. These colors are her colors- that first close up shot and coming down the steps with Albert. Very pretty.

    My first thought was that the blazer and scarf looked a bit like an airline stewardess uniform in the first photo. But when I saw the beautiful feminine skirt that is the lower half of the outfit which is also the correct length and silhouette, I loved this ensemble. Her hair and make-up are perfect and she is smiling happily. An excellent tenue. Well done.

    What a lovely outfit and I like the longer hair whether worn up or not. Charlene is looking the best she has for some time. Lovely skirt, and great choice of colours. Not sure that the scarf adds much to the outfit but excellent overall.

    Wow! This is a feast for the eyes, not only is she beyond beautiful here, her best ever, but she is actually giving some smile and some actual closeness with Albert. This has got to be my favorite look for her, it's perfect. Plus, her hair and makeup are as well. She looks just stunning. The kids are beyond adorable!

    Navy again - good! It’s a super colour for her. The outfit seems rather fussy and mature for her though, with the floaty skirt and the scarf. I prefer to see her in clean-lined contemporary silhouettes. (V.M.)

    Good outfit choices, between a Dior jacket and an Armani dress. Although the base colour of the dress is not navy (but black), somehow it still works. Certainly more display of affection than we’ve seen from her in a while (race car driver embraces assise), perhaps she’s getting warmer to the country that adopted her with open arms. We might even get news of her learning French. I know it sounds snappy, but for the kind of total sadness she typically shows, I am baffled how they keep going. Perhaps it was indeed the case of an unsuccessful face surgery and now it’s getting closer to a normal, more flexible skin. I will take that as the assumption going forward. For sure she will smile wholeheartedly in the upcoming days.

      As Charlene herself have told in a interview. 2019 was a hard year and incredibly painful and sometimes it's hard to smile when you are battling with sorrow due to her fathers illness and surgery, and two friends die within 10 days of each other. And as she said: -I have the privilege of having this life, but I miss my family and my friends in South Africa and I’m often sad because I cannot always be there for them....sometimes when should just think a little longer then just a photo. They are real human with human feelings and problems. Not everything is roses all the time.

      Unknown, I so agree with you. And I am sure it makes the people around her uncomfortable. And her not smiling give everybody the feeling, she really don't want to attend events
