King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima hosted the first New Year reception of 2020

On January 14, Dutch King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima hosted the first New Year reception of 2020 for their Dutch guests. Hundreds of guests from politics, public administration and various sectors of Dutch society were invited to the reception. In addition, representatives from public transport authorities were specifically invited this year. Princess Beatrix, Princess Margriet and Prof. Pieter van Vollenhoven were present at the reception. (Queen Maxima wore a floral-print dress by Natan.)

    Queen Maxima is still very restrained in the outfits we've seen this year. However, I like this dress--one of the better Natan ones--good length and nice colours. Her hair is looking good here too.

    From what we can see in this photo, Princess Margriet, seems to be dressed a little too casual for the occasion. Looks like she's about to take a walk in countryside.

      Princess Margriet and her husband live in the middle of the country. They change into their 'appropriate clothes' once they are in the palace

    She looks well, the dress is nice although it seems like it wrinkles easily, her hair looks good. Nothing extreme in her look which is a good thing.

    The shades of colors in the dress are lovely, however the feathery look at the neckline/hemline not so much a good look. The hair extensions are so obvious, she would look so much younger with a shorter hair style that suits her age, rather than a teenage, long blowing in the wind type look, which dates her, rather than makes her look younger.... JT

    This is a lovely dress. The sapphire and diamond drop earrings are superb. The dress is a good length for daytime. The Queens hair has grown long.

    No me gusta el vestido, el tejido, el peinado aconsejaria a Maxima de dejar las extensiones y hacerse un corte de pelo suprimiendo las puntas estropeadas, las mechas,
    estaria muchisimo mejor.

    Dress is a little short, the way the waist is designed makes her boosom appear to droop, the color however is fine.
