On the occasion of the new year, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium held a New Year's reception for members of the diplomatic corps (ambassadors and consuls) accredited in Belgium. The traditional reception took place at the Royal Palace on January 14, 2020 in Brussels. (Queen Mathilde wore a floral-print dress by Natan.) |
very nice
ReplyDeleteAh, j'aime beaucoup cet imprimé coloré floral avec un petit boutonnage dans le dos ; très bien coiffée.. Belles boucles d'oreilles dont la couleur est la même que le fond de sa robe... Superbes les escarpins !
ReplyDeleteI love this dress - colour and style - on Queen Mathilde ... wonderful ...
ReplyDeleteLove that hairstyle. Aar
ReplyDeleteI love it too, quite apprpriate for this occasion. However to me it is not an hair style which would be appropriate for her less formal visit or activities, so she should not forget about her more casual hairstyle.
DeleteShe looks very nice, hair and make up too.
ReplyDeletebeautiful dress and very nice hairstyle :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope, we see her in that way of style more often again.
The last time I often thought, that she dresses 'matronley' and way to old for her age.
So this today is very much better :)
Mathilde’s hair is styled beautifully (as usual!). The lines of this dress are very becoming to her, but I do not like its gaudy colors. Imo a solid color in a more muted shade would have suited her better and given more prominence to the dress’s pretty silhouette.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Jane. Hair style is beautiful and I like the shoes. I prefer solid colors over busy florals. Solids focus more on the person, their face and expressions.
DeleteHer hair looks lovely. The dress is a rich fabric and it looks beautiful on her. It's a long way from her turtlenecks with sweaters (not that there's anything wrong with that) and she really has blossomed in this role as Queen.
ReplyDeletePrachtige jurk van Mathilde!
ReplyDeleteThe hair/makeup are beautiful. At first glance, at a distance I liked the dress, but the close up of the print was just 'too much'. I agree with a previous comment that the silhouette of the dress is lovely, the print just too much.... JT
ReplyDeleteThis floral is miles away from the matronly prints that we’ve seen lately, is vibrant, trendy and happy, I specially love the length it’s so flattering for her figure. Good choice of shoes and impeccable hair.

The print is quite ugly and the length makes her look larger than she is.

The Queen looks beautiful. Lovely dress, fit and length is perfect, fabric is stunning. Not so keen on the colour scheme, but that's just me! Choice of shoe colour is excellent. Her hair looks amazing, beautifully coffered, with natural makeup. Love the drop earrings.
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful. Earrings are lovely
ReplyDeleteShe looks in every way a queen!
ReplyDeleteThe best look out of the best ones, the hairdo and dress and make up perfect!
ReplyDeleteAVA
Can she send her coiffeur to Maxima, please!
ReplyDeleteExcellent suggestion 🙂
DeleteLa robe sur l’avant dernière photo semble sortir du même atelier.
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful, royal appearance.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful and elegant. Quite the Queen!
ReplyDeleteLily
Beautiful, lovely colours. Nice function as well!
ReplyDeleteMathilde looks wonderful. I also like the dress of the lady in the 10th picture!
ReplyDeleteBeautyful and elegant. Cut and style, print and fabric of her dress together with her pinned up hair remember slightly the 50th, so her look is vintage though very up-to-date.
ReplyDeleteSince the Queen seems to be a very motherly woman, it might be she sometimes appaers a bit 'matronley'as Anna B. wrote above, but I agree with Anna that yesterday Mathilde shrouded her caring nature quite youthfully.
Katrin
Lovely from head to toe.
ReplyDeleteMathilde is mooi met deze groenen jurk, she is a real queen,
ReplyDeleteMathilde’s hair looks lovely! This style takes years off!
