On December 17, 2019, Queen Letizia of Spain visited the exhibition "The Other Court: Women of the House of Austria in the Royal Monasteries of the Barefoot and the Incarnation" at Madrid Royal Palace. In Madrid, very close to each other, there are the two Royal Monasteries, the Monastery of the Royal Barefoot Nuns, built in the 16th century and inhabited by Franciscan nuns, and the Monastery of the Incarnation, built in the 17th century and inhabited by Augustine nuns. |
This exhibition includes portraits of women from the House of Austria in these monasteries, linking aspects of palace and religious life. The exhibition displays the way in which palace and religious life are united within the international court context which is characteristic of the House of Austria and particularly, the close ties with the Austrian Empire in the 16th and 17th centuries. (Queen Letizia wore a new stretch wool double breasted blazer by Hugo Boss.) |
J'aime beaucoup l'harmonie entre le blazer et le pantalon ; cela va bien à sa chevelure brune ; les chaussures assorties avec ce gros talon ont l'air plus confortables que les escarpins !!!
ReplyDeleteThis time A no for Laetitia.
ReplyDeleteDonot like the colour and donot like A doublebreasted blazer worne Unclosed.
Lovely...
ReplyDeleteRochelle Cape Town
Unusual for her but quite nice. I hope she wears it again in Summer.
ReplyDeleteIn summer it is 35 degrees in Madrid, this would be too much.
DeleteQ Letizia looks lovely, very nice color suit.I just feel the jacket looks boxy, maybe because she wears it open
ReplyDeleteAgree. The jacket is big for her
DeleteI don't like the color for a winter outing, don't like that she wore it unbuttoned, but you may have different opinions

What a fantastic suit, I am not crazy about pastels, but when used on a somewhat severe style this color manages to soften the lines without being fru-fru, the shoes are a 10, and the very subtle and pinkish makeup, makes this outfit a winner for me.
ReplyDeleteThis wool blend suit is a pop of color as winter approaches. Good tailoring as usual. The shoes are fab. Hair envy of the lady minister, who also looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove it , the suit and the shoes are all perfect .
ReplyDeleteWow!! so beautiful and sweet color for Letizia!! She looks soft and feminine. This outfit fits Letizia so perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteThis is a lovely suit, beautiful colour. The addition of the colour shoes, great choice.
ReplyDeleteLetizia looks great.
ReplyDeleteOT here but I just want to inform you all that the beautiful Queen of Bhutan is expecting her 2nd child next spring.
Queen Letizia of Spain looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI like the colour, it looks great on her and doesn´t feel odd for winter. Much better than all those blacks and grays. Shoes are great too. I applaud her for choosing a wider heel, I´m tired of all those superthin superhigh stilletto heels.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I like colour and shoe type, I´m not too fond of the cut of the suit. The jacket is too large, it also is too long. The trousers are too short, so the jacket-to-trousers-ratio is somehow off. And I´ll never like the the sockless look with long trousers, especially in winter.
I mostly agree, but I myself find the jacket too long, mostly the sleeves AND would cut the trouser a bit shorter, just as the Hugo-Boss-model on the foto wears this ensemble. And besides: A slightly darker shade for her blouse would complement the whole look and drive it into a more winterly direction. The shoes are quite right, the make-up as ever splendit.

The trousers are NOT too short, just perfect. Yes sleeves of the jacket a bit too long.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shoes!
