On December 16, 2019, the Norwegian Royal Family was gathered in "Røde salong" at Royal Palace for the 2019 Christmas photographs. King Harald V, Queen Sonja, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Crown Prince Haakon, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway attended the 2019 Christmas Photo Session at the Royal Palace in Oslo. This is an annual tradition for the Norwegian Royal Family. |
A very lovely Family picture.Everyone looks great. Nice dress on MM and the Queen from IA one cant see too much, but it looks nice to. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI love that the King's tie matches the red accessories of the Queen, who looks phenomenal, I might add. The rest of the family looks very nice, as well, although the gap in Prince Haakon's jacket is not very attractive.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the cople changed pounds;-)

DeleteSo easy to think bad about people without knowing.
DeletePD I'd have liked other colour for the young princess's dress.
Anna S.
Princess Ingrid is a pretty young princess, but as you I would have prefered another colour for her dress.
DeleteBeautiful Christmas photos all of them, but especially the last few. After seeing the gingerbread house in the first few photos, I don't feel so badly about the ones in our house now, hehe. Ours look very royal as well :)
ReplyDeleteA very Happy Christmas to this lovely family, and best wishes to all of them in the New Year.

That gingerbread house was actually made by children from a kindergarten in Oslo. So cute!
DeleteThe gingerbread version of the palace is made by kids from Fridheim kidergarden ;)
DeleteAh, ok. Thank you to Anon 7.04am and 11.30am for the explanation. I wish that had been included in the title of this post, as it looks like the RF made it. Yes it is very cute especially if it was made by kindergarten children. Lovely, and thanks again.

Great pictures
ReplyDeleteWhy is her other son not in the picture?
ReplyDeleteHe is a private citizen and has expressed he wants to lead a normal life outside of the court.
DeleteLove the photo with King Harald having one of his famous belly-laughs. I always enjoy photos of this family.
DeleteThe kindergarten kids should be proud of their palace even though it's somewhat dilapidated. It's so cute!

I agree!
DeleteBeautiful photos. The Queen looks superb, love her outfit. MM looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! Great dress for MM and the Queen. The kids look fantastic, so grown up now. I really like the ones with the gingerbread house.

I agree! They all look great, but Queen Sonja is the winner for me. Very elegant and beautiful!
DeleteDe belles photos de Noël colorées ; la famille a l'air très heureuse... Superbes les robes de ces dames ; j'aime surtout celle de Mette-Marit !!!
ReplyDeleteEveryone looks so cute and festive - traditional Christmas in splendid surroundings, but the Norwegian Royals always come across as genuine down-to-earth.
ReplyDeleteJust love the crooked gingerbread palace made by the kindergarten - looks just like ours!
Eine sehr sympathische Familie!
ReplyDeleteI agree!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Why take the word of the people involved who have said that was the reason when you can think the worst of people with no proof whatsoever? The Norwegian Royal Family had absolutely no problem with his appearing photos or at events as a minor but the day he turned 18 they decided to kick him out. Totally.
DeleteGladys
Marius was in the pictures for Ingrid Alexandra’s confirmation. He has chosen to live a private life and his family supports his decision.
DeleteMarius was not kicked out. He is a part of their family, and made his own decision that he wanted to be a private person. We have seen him after on official photos like from Ingrids confirmation and on royal events, but of course you 2 knows better then all the Norwegians and the royals themeselves who made a press release...
DeleteAnon 10.53 - you need to learn to recognise sarcasm. And take a chill pill.

They save my day. Merry christmas to the six of them!
ReplyDeleteIt's so special and great if someone middle aged can celebrate chistmas with both his parents.
Katrin
I don't get why people are saying Marius got kicked out. It was his own choice to exclude himself from public life. He didn't want all the attention and since he's not royal he had every right to do so. But he's still part of the royal family. Together with Maud Angelica, Leah Isadora and Emma Tallulah. Even though they're not royals either.

This is another dress from Pia Tjelta. MM used the same dress in november when she joined Haakon at save the children seminar at the kulturhuset ;)
