On November 7, 2019, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the launch of the National Emergencies Trust (NET), at St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London. The Duke and Duchess met with a small group of people affected by previous disasters, including the Grenfell Tower fire and the Westminster Bridge terrorist attack. The National Emergencies Trust (NET) is an independent charity which will provide an emergency response to disasters in the United Kingdom. The Duchess of Cambridge wore a wool crepe dress by Emilia Wickstead. |
Ce style de robe va à ravir à Kate surtout dans cette couleur bleu-roi ; toujours très bien coiffée !!!

I love this type of dress every time she wears it in a different colorway. Classic. The belt looks like the belt on that lime green dress she wore a few years ago!
ReplyDeleteKate looks fantastic, but a bit tired. Three young kids can do that to you..
ReplyDeleteI thought same thing. She looks sooo thin.
DeleteThin figure is not always beautiful.
Gun-Lise I thought the same and compared to the latest pics of Meaghan, she looks older than her age and the DoS...strange. I also don*t like the dress on her...all in all looks not well composed and balanced, the "American Diva"- Hairstyle is too big...for me not a good DoC-day. Pity. Frieda
DeleteI also thought she looks a bit tired.
DeleteBeautiful! I love wool crepe - it has weight yet it still flows. Her hair is lovely here as are the earrings she’s chosen. (V.M.)

I was wondering what on earth that miraculously smooth, wrinkle-free fabric is!
DeleteGreat color and style on the Duchess. She looks so much younger with brighter lipstick and pink blush instead of the dark blush which makes her look gaunt.

ReplyDeleteTo me, another typical 'Kate' dress. Perfect as usual, but nothing exceptional.
ReplyDeleteI will say however that her fuller, thicker hair makes her look older and more mature, and that's not a bad thing.

Yes, she does look very nice but not special (except for the color - which I love). Sometimes I wish she'd break out a little - fashion wise (her manners are perfect - very charming).
DeleteYes, I know what you mean Lily. To me, she is what I call 'an English rose' - beautiful, gentle and well mannered...and safe. Nothing wrong with that at all, as the style look is predictable and always appropriate. This is her 'go to' style and perhaps it's good to have such a look that she's comfortable with, allowing her to relax without worrying about her appearance - and again, nothing wrong with that either. But I also wish she took some sartorial risks with these less formal, low key events and appearances. She could really rock the boat in marvellous ways. She has all the qualities in her favour.

NOthing special ok but quite nice, as already said. I agree but feel better with "nothing special" than with attempts at being special ... and failing most of the time. Not easy or even impossible, even for a duchess, to be always "fantastic".
DeleteVery suitable for this occasion. Good coordination with her husband. But don't they need a coat? It seems that it was cold and the others are warm clothes.
ReplyDeleteLovely dress, which fits perfectly, and coordinates with William's suit and tie. They are a wonderful couple.
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteBeautiful colour, really suits her. Her hair is to die for ! My only quibble, is why the fuller eyebrows ? I think they make her look tired. Much preferred the slimmer brow she had during her pregnancy with Louis. Otherwise, they make such a handsome couple. Bel.x
ReplyDeleteVery simple but elegant dress also lovely color and great fit.
ReplyDeleteShe looks beautiful as ever, but the colours are a bit off, both in the hair and in the dress. Blue rarely is a good colour for brunettes, and also her lighter hair colour looks odd -- at least to my eyes.
ReplyDeleteTina
I agree about the lighter hair color, Tina. It makes her look a little washed out. I loved her shorter, darker hair when she was pregnant with a Louis. It brought out her eyes and her lovely face.
DeleteEinfach bezaubernd und stilvoll !!
ReplyDeleteAnd details about the Duke's ensemble ....? LOL. Just kidding but it is pretty funny sometimes how we just totally ignore the guys. "The Duke wore a suit by [blank blank] with a tie and coordinating hankie by [blank blank]." :D

So simple, so good. Nice to see a well lined skirt as well. She looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI think Kate needs more volume for her dresses. This makes her look shapeless. But she has very nice make up. -Siri
ReplyDeleteEverything gorgeous! These photos have me in awe verging on disbelief, as in: how is it humanly possible to look this wonderful? Lol. Kudos to Catherine from this happy and grateful anglophile 🤗
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts! And shoes are to die for....
DeleteNice dress but I wish she had worn different shoes. Make-up wise I think Kate could take a few tips from Meghan's book. Meghan could take a few pages from Kate as far hair.
ReplyDeleteMakeup and hair are spot on! She definitely doesn't need tips from someone else. This color of blue is very flattering on her.
ReplyDeleteSomehow the duchess looks washed out with this make up. It makes her look tired. Perhaps she just recovered from a cold? I think she looks better with darker hair color and smaller curls. The dress is her stable style nothing unpredictable.
The Duchess looks lovely, the colour suits her perfectly. The length and flow of the dress is spot on. But this resembles quite a few of her dresses, it would be nice to see her wear a different design, it becomes so predictable and uniform. Love her hair. The sapphire earrings are always lovely to see, they are stunning.
ReplyDeleteI love her poppy brooch, fabulous!
ReplyDeleteApart from looking tired, the Duchess of Cambridge looks gorgeous. I love the dress, the colour and shape suite her very well.
