On November 13, 2019, Queen Maxima attended the Singapore FinTech Festival in her capacity as the UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development. The conference is being held from November 11 to 15 at the Singapore EXPO Convention and Exhibition Centre and it focuses on developing a technology (fintech) that will improve access to financial services. In the margins of the conference, Queen Maxima will attend a number of bilateral meetings. |
Her flamboyant personality and fashion are a bit "over the top" for some of us sometimes, but there is no denying that Queen Maxima is a beautiful woman and extremely intelligent. I admire her very much. From what I can see here, she looks suitably dressed for the occasion. I like her hair pulled back in a neat ponytail.
ReplyDelete@Debra: Agree!
DeleteHow do you know that Maxima is “extremely intelligent”? Just asking.....

I have ready many articles about her education and successful career in finance before she married into the royal family. And, she has made many appearances at the United Nations in her capacity as the UN Secretary-General's advocate.
Delete@Lilly T u need to get more informed before u ask ignorant questions, that try to undermine others' comments.
DeleteEverybody knows Maxima is well educated with 2 degrees, Masters. Worked as top financial CEO at HSBC, Vice president of Financial Latina Sales, ambassador to the UN financial sector. A successful woman in her own right.

A smart business like outfit for Queen Maxima! The colour is very nice, a warm orange/red suits her very well.
ReplyDeleteNot sure about the bottom, seems to be a culotte style, overall she looks great, including the hair.
Très jolies couleurs... Je la préfère coiffée d'une queue de cheval !!!
ReplyDeleteIt´s a miss for me. Culottes are always bad, but even more so when dressed up to look elegant or business-style (they are neither). The red colour suit is nice but the almost-nude top underneath is not. And the shoes are yet another earth-y shade, and it´s all a bit muddled.
ReplyDeleteThe jewellery doesn´t help either. Looks really heavy if it´s stones of some sort, and if it is plastic I won´t be impressed either.
I like her sense of style and how she coordinates her jewelry with her outfits.
ReplyDeleteI’m happy that it’s a tailored, monochromatic outfit, but not so happy that the bottom is culottes rather than slim trousers. Oh well. Her hair is lovely though. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteNobody looks good in culottes. It is fashion mistake!

Wrong colour, wrong culotte, wrong bare legs, wrong thing around her neck.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing well done is her hair.
I am sorry to have to say So.
Yes, the only good element is her hair.

Nice color, don't care much for the pants. I must say she sure likes bold jewelry, she is tall, so she can carry it off.
ReplyDeleteVery appropriate: house of Orange represented in the colour, business attire represented in the tailored suit. Good hair and neutral accessories/blouse that don’t compete with the colour of her suit. Well done on the sartorial side as well as on the intellectual and humanitarian ones. LA
