On November 19, 2019, Queen Mathilde visited De Poort Library (Bibliotheek De Poort) in Berchem in the Reading Week. That education programme is organized by Iedereen Leest (Everybody Reads) which is a non-profit organization aiming to inspire people to read and to make reading accessible for everybody. The Reading Week is being held from November 16 to 24, 2019 and is all about 'reading rituals'. This year's Reading Week has a special focus on children and their brothers and sisters and on young caregivers, who are confronted with an illness that needs care. |
Hard working Queen Mathilde is visiting a Library, reading to the Children. She looks good, the colour of her top is nice. Is her hair darker or is it just the lighting?
ReplyDeleteSitting on a low chair or bench with a regular skirt can be uncomfortable, for this event a longer skirt would have been a lot easier to wear for the Queen, IMO.
True
DeleteYes but did she know in advance what sort of seat she would have??

My German is poor and it’s been a long day, so I have too little patience for Google Translate, but I remember enough to say I wholeheartedly agree. She is one special lady. Mathilde has a special place in my heart, she seems the ultimate classic, well educated, but unfussy and totally genuine royal. And her work in support arts is amazing. / Lavinia
DeleteNice to see Q Mathilde again,I like the blouse and the coat not a fan of the skirt. The children must have been delighted to see the Q in the library.
ReplyDeleteNice blouse in a lovely colour and from what I can see of the skirt, I like that too
ReplyDeleteQueen Mathilde's blouse is a beautiful color and fits her nicely. It looks as though the blouse is padded at the shoulders...are they in fashion again? Her skirt is a bit short, but I think she was able to maintain her modesty. I like her earrings too.
ReplyDeleteDe acuerdo con "Anonimo 5'10" Lavinia es la reina joven menor y más fina
