Queen Elizabeth II presented the Chatham House Prize 2019 to Sir David Attenborough and Julian Hector, Head of the BBC Natural History Unit at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House in London. The Chatham House Prize is awarded every year to an individual or group deemed to have made the most significant contribution to the improvement of international relations in the previous year. |
The Queen looks lovely. What a privilege for these award winners. I like the metallic highlight on her suit.
ReplyDeleteI’d say what an honor for her to meet the recipients!
DeleteI agree with Mim!
DeleteFully agreed, and they know it too! LA
DeleteQueen Elizabeth looks lovely in this pink suit, although I'm not sure about the below-the-waist trim. It reminds me of Native American silver belt. I have never seen her in nude gloves; I like them. Her brooch, of course, is beautiful. The Queen is always classy.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful her hair. Like the hair, so the person :)

What an exceptional occasion - meet somebody who ist not younger than oneself ... usually, she is the oldest, wherever she goes. But Sir Attenborough is the same age as the Queen and they make a magnificent pair here! I like the fun "deep waist trim" of her dress, because well, there is no reason to accentuate her real waistline in case of a probably quite think fabric (and double so because skirt and jacket taken together). I love her smile (and her stiff upper lip :-)

Fashion Queen - der Stoff ist sehr außergewöhnlich. Überhaupt ist immer irgend etwas Besonderes an ihren Outfits - und alle sind sie wohlüberlegt.
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy Queen and what happy Award winners !
ReplyDeleteWhat a joy to view. Her outfit is classy.
ReplyDeleteTotally love the Queen's outfit. She always looks spot on with the wardrobe choices.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely outfit on Her Majesty. The soft pink is a wonderful colour for her and I really like the texture of the suit. A beautiful pink sapphire to top off the look.
ReplyDeleteTrès chic dans cette couleur rose-pastel ; les perles de ses boucles d'oreilles me plaisent beaucoup !!!
ReplyDeleteAs usual the Queen looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteMy two favourite people in one picture - and they're both having so much fun. (Lou)
ReplyDeleteLovely as always and looking so happy in spite of the tough time she has had this week. What a trouper.
ReplyDeleteGreat Lady!
ReplyDeleteShe totally understands What iT means to be royal!
You are absolutely right, Anonymous 1:16. And that is why she is so much loved and respected, not only in the Commonwealth. She always took her role serious, she took tradition and values serious. Duty first. And that means she takes the people in the commenwealth serious.
DeleteYes, yes, yes! Taking your role, traditions, and values seriously. A lesson that Sophie learned and now she is so loved and respected. So far, Catherine also seems to be following in the steps of the Queen, (also Anne and Camilla). I so appreciate this quality in these women.

If only one could be as healthy and alive as those two when one reaches (IF one reaches) their age! Almost 200 years of life experience combined! Add Philip and you get 300 years... The Queen looks great and her smile is as lovely as ever despite the troubles of this week. Wonderful!

The Queen looks beautiful in this lovely soft ensemble. The pink diamond brooch is divine, delicate, subtle piece, blends in perfectly with her outfit.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed: the Queen has worn the same dress earlier, at least once if not twice, when photographed with Andrew, as for instance earlier this year in Scotland when they were photographed driving to the church together, only days after the suicide of Epstein. A hidden message of support, despite everything...??
