Princess Stephanie gave gifts to elders on the eve of the National Day

On November 18, 2019, Princess Stephanie of Monaco and her daughter Camille Gottlieb continued their annual tradition by giving gifts to the citizens of Monaco before celebrations of Monaco National Day 2019. Princess Stephanie and Camille Gottlieb visited elders at the Foyer of Rainier III and about 800 parcels were given as gifts.

    I am not sure what to say about this tradition and the one of the Red Cross packages. Is it not a bit patronising? In a country where you still call the Royal "Mon seigneur" it is maybe "comme il faut". I wonder what is in the bags? :-)

      Yesterday a commenter was reprimanded for saying that she/he found a bit excessive the numerous celebrations for Japan's Emperor accesion to the throne. She or he was advised to be more respectuful of other countries customs. It seems to me to be a sound advice that applies too for Monaco's customs.

      Gun-Lise, I think it is a wonderful tradition in Monaco, not at all patronising in my opinion. People love the "closeness" to their Royals, and not everybody is priviledged.
      I am glad to see that Stephanie is smiling with a real warmth in her eyes.
      Her hairstyle is not 10 of 10, but who cares...
      I still remember her wild days with Delon, Belmondo, singing and dancing, wow!!

    Well, I have to say that I appreciate Princess Stephanie's beaming smiles here, and am sure the people she met appreciated them too! Also, her coat is beautifully tailored, and works perfectly with her scarf. As for all the black we see, it is puzzling but black seems to be the all-purpose go-to amongst the well-healed these days.

    Camille is, by far, the Grimaldi whose facial features most closely resemble Princess Grace's, imo. It's quite striking at times.

    moi je trouve plutôt qu'elle ressemble à simone signoret !

    Getting older suits Stephanie since she looks more womanly not a young girl which is a look she has had a long time.She looks great, nice hair cut,looks healthy and polished and even lip stick on!
