The Queen's outfit looks dated with the whitish colored stockings. Do not like the overall look, too much pattern going on, too boxy.
ReplyDeleteMaybe in another photo, Queen Silvia's outfit would not be so garish. The tweed pattern is harsh to look at. Is that a scarf in the same pattern? If so, a solid color might have looked better. CP Victoria's suit is pretty. I like the color and the fit, though I think the blouse she wore with it previously looks better (along with the brooch). Prince Daniel looks sharp, as always. Princess Sofia's blazer is nice and her pants fit perfectly.
ReplyDeleteAll the RL look very nice. I just wish Pss Sofia wore a reg high heel not the boots. But I do like the jacket and the black piping around it,gives it a nice contrast.
ReplyDeleteQueen Silvia usually looks great, but the tie at her neck is just huge and not flattering. Sofia's blazer is a bad style from the 80s and the length of her pants are too short and look odd with the boots. Victoria looks very good. The color is good for her and the fit of the pantsuit is spot on. I do wish she had chosen shoes that were darker, black or dark teal would have been better.
ReplyDeleteIsabella
Agree with you regarding Sofia's trousers. They are too short with this style of boot.

I love these pantsuits!! Victoria's green and Sofia's yellow look wonderful. A bit of color is never a bad thing. Marie
ReplyDeleteI love the colors here. Lovely suits. They look professional and engaged. I saw some close up pics on another site of the colors. Very eye catching yellow and green. Well done! Janie
ReplyDeleteI´m happy about the colours on display here. That´s the way to tackle the dreary dark part of the year.
ReplyDeleteDaniel looks like always, perfectly fine. Suit a bit tight, but that´s how Scandinavians seem to like it. Not my preference, but when you´re in good shape, you get away with that.
Silvia also her usual self. Looking elegant and polished. I really like her well-tailored suits, especially the textured ones like this one, but the bow thing is overpowering it a bit, and her tights are too white.
Victoria´s trousers are too tight, and the double-breasted jacket is not great, looks boxy and masculine. I´m more than tired of bow blouses, so not happy to see yet another one, but I must say that I very much enjoy the combination of colours here. The green and the white are great, and the dark orange shoes and bag complement the look perfectly.
And Sofia - nice enough. Trousers a bit short and her jacket had been better without the set of upper pockets. But still a good look overall.
Who is wearing dark orange shoes?
DeleteSofia’s jacket is beautiful. L. K. Bennet is a wonderful shop ... and they’re having a sale now!
DeleteI‘ve always wondered, why Queen Silvia prefers wearing whitish colored tights, It’s so sixties and out of fashion. Victoria’s suit is nice and I especially like Sofia‘s yellow blazer - perfect with black pants and booties. The King and Prince Daniel both appear in a perfectly tailored suit.
ReplyDeleteSofia est superbe dans cette veste originale ; avec le pantalon, c'est très chic !!!
ReplyDeleteImo, both Victoria and Sophia's suits would be sooooo much more flattering if the cut of the pants were not so tight. A straight leg trousser is so much more chic and professional looking.
ReplyDeleteEuropa.
Completely agree!
DeleteStraight leg trousers often look a bit dull and even though they probably might be a better option for the older Sofia of European royals (Queen Sofia of Spain), a younger woman in a good shape can definitely wear tighter trousers as well — and still look professional. Especially with Victoria’s curvy and muscular body type the profile of straight leg trousers might look and feel unbecomingly wide — I know that from experience as my own body type is very similar to Victoria’s. I think all the ladies — and gentlemen — look great here, and it’s nice to see the complementary colours of their clothes. Camera flashes may make Silvia’s. stockings look whiter than they actually are.

I FULLY agre with Sadie anon4:35. These trousers are trendy and perfectly suitable.
Deletewell, I still disagree; case in point, look at the model for Victoria's suit. She has slimmer legs (musicular or not - who knows) and because of that the same trouser fits looser on her and looks better. Perhaps if Victoria went up one size and had the pants tailored for her waist, ect. to compromise? The pants would be just a bit looser through the thigh and knee and more flattering. In any event, straight, skinny, bootcut, muscular legs, flabby legs - too tight is not flattering.

The perfect set of photos to show how the best, most relevant thing we can do to be perfectly in style is: a smile (and good eye contact). See the first photo where they are preparing themselves? Then the next where they are greeting guests? All faces come alive and they all look beautiful... the clothes fade somewhat into the background as warm genuine greetings are given. We leave this style tip here for other royals and ourselves, whether we have money for fancy clothes or not: smile and shake hands with good eye contact and you’ll appear beautiful and well dressed - Jemmi
ReplyDeleteAre you dreaming-Tara
DeleteLOL! So, if I go in for a job interview at a law firm with tattered jeans and an old t-shirt *but* just smile really well in addition to my stellar cv, I'm a shoe in for the job? Okay. (I'm being sarcastic.)

I like the color and fabric of Silvia’s suit but the neckline is overwhelming. Sofia’s jacket is nice. I would have preferred it worn open with a blouse underneath. Pants that end at that length look better worn with a pair of pumps or flats. Victoria’s make- up looks good and I like the color of her suit. I wish she wore a cami or another top underneath. She has a few similarly cut suits in different colors and seems to favor pussy bow blouses. I would love her to switch it up a bit more with different types of tops worn underneath or some other slight twist.

They all look wonderful;love the Queen's suit, even Daniel looks daper. It is funny how the Tech community clammer to spend time with the royals ;it is the same in all countries,if the royals accept it then their subjects must;it is so funny, such a bunch of nit wits{ THE TECH STERS)
ReplyDeleteSofia's jacket is stunning. Love her pants they are a perfect fit.
ReplyDeleteI have a jacket almost identical to it from the '90s. (It's part of a suit - came with a black pencil skirt.) I've kept it all these years because I thought it was so bueatiful and well made - but out of style. I guess I can pull it of the closet and wear it! :-)
