On November 12, 2019, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended Shout UK's Crisis Volunteer celebration event at Troubadour White City Theatre in London. The event brought together people from across the UK who volunteer with Shout to support people in crisis. Shout UK is financed by the Royal Foundation and supported by Place2Be. (The Duchess wore a grey checked blazer by Smythe.) |
The Duchess is young, beautiful, full of energy. Her outfit is casual but with some interesting twist in terms of colour combination.
ReplyDeleteAgree, we’ll fitting and a nice pop of color.

Now that's a well fitted blazer!:)
ReplyDeleteI get so confused these days. People across the world can still wear light outfits like that, while I'm over here in Norway in the snow. And then some more snow:(
Your message made me laugh because I live in NH and wish I could dress that way all year round. Then again, no one would want me to wear those pants!
DeleteThe Duchess looked gorgeous today!
How about wearing a little bit longer jacket when wearing skinny or slim pants?
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Wearing the appropriate size could also help. These are Joseph suit trousers - head over to their site to see the proper fit (that does not pull on the thighs). It's perfect fall colour - just the wrong size. Also, the Smythe blazer is tight, she cannot button it and keeps pulling the sides (sometimes with both hands) as evidenced in these photos. Kate is so fit - it baffles me all every time she picks the wrong size - cause it's not like she needs to pretend to be thinner, she already IS quite thin. Her Todd's are some of my favourite shoes. More elegant, classy and better for her feet than stilettos (and I guess more au-courrant as well).

I agree that her blazer is a size too small, and her trousers may be a tad too small as well.
DeleteNot often we see Catherine in pants, but the Duchess has the perfect body for these kind of clothes. Looks good. And I LOVE the shoes.
ReplyDeleteIl manque 3 cm au pantalon ,pour être élégant comme celui de la reine Letizia .
ReplyDeleteGood on Kate for leaving the coat dresses behind. However, in this case the outfit should be styled reversing the colors of the current look with black pants and burgundy shoes. Queen Letizia's similar look yesterday is much more polished. -B
ReplyDeleteMiss for me. I don't like the pants.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the pants either. The waist up, she looks gorgeous.
DeleteTala
I find these pants to be so unflattering. There is also something about their shortened length coupled with the chunky heel on the shoes that just doesn't go together in my opinion. Both pieces would be okay separately but not liking them together. I really wish she would go back to her natural, darker hair color. I find this lighter color to not be flattering. DMP
ReplyDeleteI agree with you 100% those pants are awful. She looks so attractive the pants and shoes exepted
DeleteI like this outfit. The ankle pants draw the eye to the shoes, and it looks just right. Sensible but good looking shoes with sensible heels! When are more Women going to stop being slaves to these horrible stilettos?
ReplyDeleteThe shoes are not sensible at all they are high heeled which throws the body forwards. She looks like a wading flamingo
DeleteJanine and Nalerina, I totally disagree with you. I object to being called a slave to stilettos ----not in a snowflake "How dare you offend me" kind of way :)--- but because the implication is that it is something forced on me. I LOVE my stilettos (incidentally my podiatrist says that ballet flats are worse for your feet than stilettos!) although I can no longer wear comfortably the 4" heels of my younger days and tend to stay at 2" or 2.5" now. Without my heels I feel frumpy and less confident, even when wearing trousers. When you see the royal ladies I would suggest the same applies. Flat shoes do not equal elegance. Sorry.
DeleteI like the idea of the outfit, but it looks so tight and small. Those pants look like they are almost leggings how tight they are, but the color is gorgeous. As for the jacket, love it but it doesn't look like it can be buttoned. Maybe just camera angles? I'm glad to see her wear things that are fresh and modern. Not a fan of the shoes though, I personally don't like the pointed toes with a block heal.
ReplyDeleteChel
Lovely outfit. Especially love the shoes, they are attractive and stylish but with the sensible block heel that is much better for our feet than stiletto heels.
ReplyDeleteAgree with Diane and Anon 6 02 that this is not the Duchesses best look. Like the jacket and the colour of the trousers but Myriam is spot on--they need to be just a bit longer. At the moment theya re neither full length nor the ghastly cropped length--they just look badly fitted. She herself, of course, looks as lovely as ever
ReplyDeleteJoli blazer qui va bien avec la couleur bordeaux de son pantalon.. Porté avec une jupe légèrement évasée, il étofferait sa menue silhouette.. Je veux les mêmes boucles d'oreilles !!!
ReplyDeleteClassic, chic jacket with modern pants that bring a nice pop of color to the whole ensemble. The shoes are a great finishing touch, sensible and stylish.
ReplyDeleteRachel
I like the whole outfit. I think it’s relaxed yet modern. Unlike others I love the shorter trousers because they work with almost any shoe. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteD'accord avec "Myriam"
ReplyDeleteKate looks good, as always. However I would prefer a black jeans to this blazer, as in the photo of 2018.
ReplyDeleteIf it would be a black pant, I would like this outfit a lot more.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of this outfit is good. Jacket and trousers could be nice together and the colours are beautiful but the ill fit spoils it. - Siri
ReplyDeleteI think the pants should be a tad longer but as someone pointed out, if she went up a size to proper fit (according the Website for the pants) they probably would fall at the correct spot at the ankles.
ReplyDeleteEuropa.
It's a fun fall assemble though would look better if blazer was a size or two larger.
ReplyDeleteCatherine usually is spot on with her outfits, however, the pants should have been a shade of color as found in the jacket, and longer length, then it would have looked more professional.... JT
ReplyDeleteIt´s a nice idea but it doesn´t fit her. Everything is too tight and too short. Looks like she has outgrown this outfit.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteKate likes to look young and preppy;but at some stage this as we say looks like mutton dressed up as lamb. The colours are good but everything looks as though it is too small for her. The hair looks great. The shoes look too clunky;the heel is too thick. In the winter the royals tend to wear warm undergarments.
ReplyDeleteI really like these trousers and jacket in the same colour on model, everything works for me, but on Catherine nor trousers nor jacket look good. Maybe the wrong size for her, as some of you mentioned, or maybe this style of pants just doesn't sit wright on her.

ReplyDeleteThe Duchess looks lovely in this ensemble. The colour combination is great. These pants I think fit her much better, the length is spot on. Love the jacket and blouse. The subtle pieces of jewellery seal the deal she looks beautiful
