On October 28, 2019, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of The Netherlands attended the screening of the film "Galapagos: Hope for the Future" at Pathe Tuschinski in Amsterdam. The film explores the undisturbed nature and wildlife within the Galapagos Islands, and inspires viewers to consider a sustainable future. |
She looks happy and relaxed here. It’s good outfit too - everything fits well and flatters her. I think it’s perfect for the occasion. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteThis is the most flattering and elegant hairstyle I have seen on Maxima. (As we know, often when her hair is down, with her busy lifestyle, her hair can be disheveled.) This style shows off her facial features to the optimum. She looks gorgeous. I hope this style becomes a "regular" for her.
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima looks great here , her outfit and hairdo are perfect.

Yes yes yes , I like everything about this look. The royal couple look so elegant and regal.
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima looks beautiful here!
ReplyDeleteOn a plaisir à la retrouver détendue ; les cheveux relevés lui vont à merveille !!!
ReplyDeleteGreat, very 'Maxima style'. She has a sparkling personality and I'm happy how her style reflects that. -Siri
ReplyDeleteJewellery-to-outfit match is perfect here. Interesting combination of textures as well. Yet I still don´t like this look. A bit dark overall, and I don´t like the way the trousers are gathered at the waist. But most of all, I cannot understand why she insists on these ugly platform shoes, and sandals that don´t fit her and toes sticking out. A more delicate and well-fitting shoe would have improved this look immensely.
ReplyDeleteHer hair is under control, but I would never describe that as a wonderful hairstyle, let alone her best ever.
Agree. The sandals are not a good combination with the outfit and do not fit.
DeleteMmh I disagree with all the above, I think that the hairline in the middle makes her round face look rounder. I find the wait line too high hence unflattering fire the belly area. The leaves are not 3/4 but also a bit too short to be long sleeves.

The middle split of the hair also makes the dark roots more visible.
DeleteAnything else wrong????????
DeleteThere should be some dark showing at the roots with blondes or it is obvious the hair is dyed. I haven't noticed Maxima letting her hair grow out too much, but I may have missed it. I really haven't focused on it that much. If her dark roots are the biggest problem with her hair, I would say she is having a good hair day. As for a center part making her face look more round, I disagree. I would say her makeup has a lot to do with that. She could learn to contour and create a slimming effect. I don't see her face as too round, but makeup application can make a big difference.
DeleteIt looks to me like the sleeves are elasticized and should be pulled up a bit to bracelet length. That is probably where they should be anyway.
Not bad, but a velvet or velour top tucked into pants creates a bit of an unfinished look, imo -- and it also makes the waist look thicker. So while a belt would have completed the look, it might also have visually widened the waistline. I guess I'm saying I wish Maxima had worn a nice blouse, lol.

ReplyDeleteWow, Maxima, can you just keep repeating this look??!!!! Fantastic, head to toe! The hair looks good, that beautiful smile, and a gorgeous jumpsuit. Nothing outlandish, just glamour.

Very nice and relaxed. Hard working couple, both of them. Max looks great here, simple and chique!

Herrlicher Kommentar, Hedy!
DeleteWell fitting outfit. I like the velvet top a lot, but can't warm up to the pants all the way. I do must say Q Maxima looks good wearing it.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great outfit and, having read the comments above and then re-looked at the photos, really don't see what the complaints are about. I don't see a chunky waistline, though I would accept that a velvet/velour top could cause one; I like the wide trousers and think her hair is tidy and flattering. As to the comments about the sandals, what else do toes do in sandals apart from stick out of them? To counteract all this positivity, I still think that the beard makes the King look like a down-and-out and wish he would get rid of it.

Annie - regarding the sandals: I don´t mind sandals worn with this. It is the platform soles that I´ve come to hate (they look so cheap and make anyone´s feet look clunky), and I have a problem with toes sticking out. I don´t mind toes showing (not at all, unless peeptoe-style which again looks cheap to my eyes), but toes hanging over the edge of the sandals, as is the case with Maxima here. Her sandals are clearly way too small for her. The front part of the insoles should be showing in sandals, therefore they are usually lined in the colour of the outer material.
DeleteIs no one going to comment on that drapery panel she has on her shoulder. It is just way way way off balance. You just don't wear something that heavy just on one side. Its way off balance!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, it´s majorly odd. The trousers distracted me enough so I didn´t even notice the tassle-like things going all the way down to the floor. Actually, they shouldn´t even be any tassles in the first place. The whole thing looks silly.
DeleteKing Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands look very wonderful.
