On October 12, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie attended the opening of "Home & Living Expo 2019" held at Luxexpo The Box. Home and Living Expo is a fair for housing, construction, renovation, furnishing and decoration and is organized every autumn by Luxexpo in collaboration with the Ministry for Housing, the Chamber of Trades Luxembourg and FEDAM. Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie wore a purple side-button blazer by Ralph Lauren. |

She looks fantastic! Den
ReplyDeleteShort hair suits her!
ReplyDeleteI agree! She looks youthful and put together! She had lovely hair and this style shows it off so well. I like the blazer but the color is too harsh for her complexion. An olive or rust would have suited her better.
DeleteStephanie looks very good with this purple side-button blazer. Her hairstyle is also very beautiful. And as always, she has an endearing facial expression.
ReplyDeleteOn the positive side, Stephanie looks pulled together with her hair styled and an outfit that has some thought and coordination behind it. I think she looks very good in vibrant colors because she is so fair. I don't think this is a great look, however, While I like the idea, her blazer is too tight at the shoulders and bust, causing it to pull. I think the side button could have been very attractive on her, but due to the sizing issue, the bottom half of the jacket flairs out instead of hanging properly. I also think the cut of the pants is wrong for her body. A straight legged pant would have looked better than the boot cut that emphasizes her hips (along with the unfortunate flair of her jacket). She doesn't even look comfortable while sitting down. Sadly, more failures than successes for this lovely lady.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The jacket's color is lovely for her but the style and cut do NOTHING for her. She has too much bust for it, and the low drape of the blouse beneath draws your eye immediately to a pretty deep neckline. No way can it close the way the model shows it should. Those pants are not flattering either and are tiresome to see every time she is pictured. I do like the new hair style. For a woman of 35, she is taking a long time to find a good look for herself.

DeleteThe vibrant purple of the coat is beautiful. I appreciate that Stephanie has had her hair and make-up done but her blowout look stiff and her make-up makes her look older than she is.

La princesse est ravissante avec cette coiffure mais toujours les pantalons qui gâchent la silhouette .
ReplyDeleteShe looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEverything else is nice exept the trousers. Stephanie is pretty in these photos..
ReplyDeleteI think this hairstyle makes her look much order that she actually is; i dont even like the jaket looks is not getting well...she is so pretty she needs a good stylist to help her
ReplyDeleteBien belle dans ce blazer violet.. Ce changement de coiffure lui va à merveille !!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad she finally got a haircut and it looks perfectly styled, it does look rather classic , and can be debated whether it could have been a little more edgier taking into account that she is very young
ReplyDelete, but nonetheless this is progress. The jacket is so elegant an streamline, unfortunately the size is not the right one, and you can't appreciate it. The white blouse under it doesn't help either as it does not make any sense with the color palette. The flared pants don't help either. I get the distinct impression that fashion is not something she is into, and that is all right.
Cherry Blossom did you notice the Ralph Lauren ad! In case you didn't they chose white. Obviously RALPH LAUREN thought white made sense.
DeleteYes, it would absolutely make sense with white pants with a top underneath as shown, but never with the black pants, white blouse, purple blazer ... just my humble opinion, no need to snarky, it's OK to differ.
DeleteCherry Blossom, Recently I read in Fortune 500 where Ralph Lauren sales for 2018 were approx. 1 billion.
DeleteCherry B, I went and looked up Stéphanie's age - she is 35. I don't view that as very young, but then maybe I should remember that I am getting close to twice her age! It is all in your perspective, isn't it! I think she is lovely.
DeleteI absolutely agree, in this case it would have been better with a black top, or white top and white pants. I also feel slightly sorry for her; If you have a more full body it is horrible to be photographed while sitting. I know, I am like her (+10 kg).Her haircut looks very nice on her.
DeleteI think the whole outfit is hideous, but i adore her, no matter what
ReplyDeleteStephanie looks gorgeous! Other royals should take a hint from her very stylish haircut and do the same. It is great to see her again.
ReplyDeleteGteat look for Stephanie.
ReplyDeleteShe looks great. I like the hairstyle. The color of the jacket is awesome but is it the ruffles of the shirt that might be what's making it look weird? Not a fan of the pants. - Capt. Marvel
ReplyDeleteStephanie looks absolutely beautiful here, better than she has in a long time. I live the royal purple color on her, suits her.
ReplyDeleteChel
Stephanie es hermosa,joven,piel hermosa,el corte de cabello la favorece y el color de la chaqueta también;me encanta esta culta pareja;
ReplyDeleteTeresa
the trousers, are not nice
ReplyDeleteJacket is so badly fitting and wrong size, I cannot get over it to see anything else.
ReplyDeleteLove the purple colour it suits her well. Her hair looks lovely, well groomed, soft looking so much better
ReplyDeleteGreat hair; great pants; great color on the jacket. The problem is that the jacket needed to be hemmed about 1-2 inches. It seems to hit at her widest point on her hips; if it were 1-2 inches shorter, she would look taller and more slender. Instead, she highlights her widest point; she is clearly a pear figure, so this is the last thing that she should be highlighting. Also, due to the long jacket, she is not "in proportion" meaning that her pants should be 2/3 of our her outfit and her jacket should be 1/3. Because her jacket is too long, she appears awkward.

ReplyDeleteShe needs to shorten the jacket about 1-2 inches. She is a pear figure, so her jacket hitting at what seems to me to be her widest point only highlights that she is a pear shaped, when that is exactly what she should be de-emphasizing the most. Bootcut pants are great for a pear as they assist in balancing out the hips. The color of the jacket and the hair are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteIt’s undoubtedly one of her better looks. The haircut and styling make a big difference. A bright colour also suits her. This would be so much better if the jacket were properly adjusted for her size/figure. One size up for the jacket would have been a good start (clearly her shoulders are well developed and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, in fact I believe it shows she is keeping up with some form of upper body exercise - and she has my admiration for it), but her waist is small so the larger-sized jacket ought to have been taken in - just at the waist. Then the draping on the hips would have looked better (likely as intended). I am not convinced the colour combination is that bad, in fact a black top would have taken away from the pleasant light of the purple jacket. And for her body shape I certainly wouldn’t have recommended white trousers. A light beige or even subdued lilac coloured top could have been probably better. As to the cut of her trousers, I would have chosen a more substantial fabric (which falls quite differently than the lighter one she picked) and certainly had them properly tailored (straight leg or even a slight cigarette shape I believe would have played to her advantage; either would have worked quite significantly better than this flare shape in a light-and possibly cheap- fabric).
ReplyDeleteI still think overall this is a step in the right direction. I can only imagine it must be hard to be constantly in the spotlight when you perhaps are not versed in sartorial design. I think she is trying-so that is to be applauded.
