On October 15, 2019, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended WellChild 2019 award ceremony held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel located in the center of London. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated the courage shown by seriously ill young people at the annual WellChild Awards. Since 2007, the Duke has been the patron of WellChild which is the national charity for seriously ill children and their families. The Duke and Duchess attended a pre-ceremony reception and met with the young winners of each award category and their families, and the nominated healthcare professionals. |
Like Meghan dress and the coat wearing over the shoulders. It adds so much to the whole look.

The Duke and Duchess appear totally immersed in their support of these children and their families. The Duchess looks lovely in a repeat her two year old coat and dress -- her appearance is well groomed, beautiful, simple and understated. So much better when trying to keep the focus on the real objective here, rather than getting bogged down in too many ruffles and flourishes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a touching event with brave young people. And she looks just fantastic.

I think D. Meghan looks wonderful here. Simple, well fitting dress in a nice colour, accessorized by classic pumps and camel coat. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteLove, love this. The hunter green dress with the bow detail at the waist is beautiful. Like the camel jacket and tawny brown shoes. The blow out/ styling of her hair could be better.

Nice dress. The Duchess looks as if she has lost weight since her trip to SA and is looking good here.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very attractive dress, but unfortunately it is too tight for her now. Despite the fit issue, it is nice to see it again. The color is flattering on Meghan and befitting of the autumnal season. I love the shoe color and the bag that adds just right amount of interest.
ReplyDeleteThe Duchess is looking great! Nice to see yet another Royal wearing green today. I like this dress on her, as well as the coat and shoes. She and Harry are so well in sync, both in mind and action, and it shows beautifully. Well done.

Meghan doing a Melania. She looks amazing here. Her hairstyle is perfect.
ReplyDeleteLoved this dress then, love this dress now. Emerald is a great color on the Duchess. Of course the dress fits differently now but I am so glad she is confident in her postpartum body.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally with the recent scrutiny on the cost of her wardrobe (which imo, is blown out of proportion given that other royals have much more extensive and expensive wardrobes and the DoS is only starting to build her work wardrobe), I imagine that the she can't win either way. Buy a new dress and people will denounce her as extravagant, wear an old dress and people will find fault in how it fits on her postpartum body.
On a final note I think the cognac pumps compliment this dress really well. Glad she didn't spring for green pumps for a monotoned look.
Anna, your comments are brilliant.
DeleteMy thoughts are in line with yours regarding Meghan's wardrobe. It makes no sense to invest a lot of money in a transitional wardrobe, yet wearing clothes that don't fit her body as well as they once did excites the trolls.
This dress is a wonderful colour for the Duchess. The shoes and handbag are a perfect finish for this outfit. Her hair looks gorgeous
ReplyDeleteI thought the Duchess looked lovely tonight. I went back and checked and it looks like she is wearing the same dress she wore at the engagement interview. Because she tends to lean more towards solid outfits she needs to kick it up a few notches and embellish her outfits more. You know what we say in the south-accessorizing is everything!
ReplyDeleteVery stylish outfit. Nice, simple dress, chic coat and best of all, great shoes. - Siri
ReplyDeleteThis is a miss for me. Tan coat, green dress, black purse, and brown shoes. Nothing seems to go together. - LR
ReplyDeleteThe purse is not black. It is tortoiseshell.

In pictures #4 and #6, she looks so beautiful, so pretty! I'm smitten by them ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe green dress is very nice on her, great colour. Can't see much of the cut and fitting; but it looks fine to me.
No one should ever cross their legs when wearing a dress.
ReplyDelete@Lizzie why?
DeleteAVA
It's not impossible. With a pencil skirt/ dress, you have to be careful, yes. But with a full or swing dress/ skirt, I think it's appropriate.
Delete* or a pleated skirt/ dress. Sorry, my English is still not perfect ;-)
Delete@Lizzy: Agree.

When seated, the skirt rides up and exposes the thigh(s). Not very regal, nor even nice looking on any woman. The lady-like way is to cross the legs at the ankles.
DeleteIch mag dieses Paar einfach! Meghan von Kopf bis Fuß erste Klasse und Harry blüht mehr und mehr auf mit seiner Frau...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful outfit, although I never understand why some royal ladies don't just put on the coat instead of hanging it over the shoulders.
ReplyDeleteI like this dress very well fitting , simple and lovely color for her. The make up is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking that with the tour over, likely they will focus on their litter charities. This one is, I believe, particularly close to their hearts. I get a feeling of genuine care and willingness to help from their attitude in these pictures
ReplyDeleteAll these items were in her wardrobe before she met Harry. I thought that is interesting. They look very current still, testimony that it’s always with having good quality and well tailored pieces. The Sentaller coat must be at least 5 years old (likely more). Perhaps the dress isn’t a perfect fit at this time, I expect though Megan will continue to wear it once she stops breastfeeding and her body returns to its previous level. It’s a really nice colour on her.

Ein gelungenes Outfit. Klassisch, elegant. Sie sieht schick aus. Hätte es aber schöner gefunden, wenn sie den Mantel angezogen hätte und nicht einfach salopp über die Schultern.
ReplyDeleteIhre Attitüde ist immer noch die einer Schauspielerin.

This is a lovely dress, simple, and with clean lines, very much within her general style, Meghan doesn't ever do " too much" , the color is very flattering, and she looks particularly pretty, and radiant. Yes it's a little bit on the tight side, but not excessively so, I think the overall look would improve if it was a tad longer, just enough to cover the knee, but that is one of my pet peeves. I don't see anything wrong with crossing your legs, nothing showing that shouldn't be seen.
ReplyDeleteA very neat and polished look. Nice colours. Mathilde went for the same combo of forest green plus cognac brown, and it works. Only thing I mind here is the absence of sleeves. Put some fitted elbow-length sleeves on the dress, and it would be perfect. Coat is nice too.
ReplyDeleteThe handbag is silly though.
The duchess looks beautiful. This dress in colour and design is a winning combination for her.
ReplyDeleteShe is glowing! Beautifully and happily. How wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBoth dress and coat, great look. like her hairstyle too.
