Radio 1’s Teen Heroes of 2019 visited The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Kensington Palace together with superstar Camila Cabello and BBC Radio 1 DJs Clara Amfo and Greg James. The visit was made on October 1 and the photos relating to the visit were released yesterday. It is the fourth consecutive year the Duke and Duchess hosted finalists at Kensington Palace. Now in its tenth year, Radio 1’s Teen Awards is the biggest teen event in the pop music calendar in UK. The winners will receive their awards on November 24. The Duchess wore a new printed midi dress by L.K. Bennett. |
Schöööön. Diese Frau kann es einfach. Die meisten ihrer Outfits gefallen mir.
ReplyDeleteUnd ein super Paar. Herrlich unaufgeregt. Ich liebe ihre britische Art.

I do not find this dress very flattering at all. In fact this dress and the sparkly green long one she wore in the evening in Pakistan both have very square padded shoulders and they just don't suit her. I makes her look angular and scrawny
ReplyDeleteVery tough comment. It is autumn appropriate dress, it fits her very well.
Deletenalerina - I agree. She looks very gaunt and the color doesn't flatter her.
DeleteLove this dress on Kate but the best part of the outfit is her lovely smile. DMP
ReplyDeleteI love the warm, autumnal coffee-and-chocolate tones here (kind of like sartorial comfort food, lol). Given the overall monotone effect with Catherine's brown hair, though, a colorful bracelet and necklace would have been a nice accent. Nothing too showy, just a modest pop of yellow or blue or perhaps variegated "fruit salad" stones.
ReplyDeleteJane Chantal, I totally agree - about the chocolate-food and about a missing colourful necklace! Anyway Catherine looks very good, as always. I like the photo of William and her with the two young girls. Her dress and the green dress match and than the green dress also matches with the yellow one. What a beautiful picture.
DeleteYes, those three rich, vibrant colors do look really pretty together. I found myself admiring the fabric of the green suit, and thinking it would make a really pretty dress, too.
DeleteP.S. I don't know how I got the idea that the green outfit was a suit. You are certainly right, Coralie, that it is a dress. 😊
DeleteTotally agree with what you said. The warm colors looked good but yes with her hair, too monochromatic- great summary. I love the lady's green dress next to her except perhaps with a rounded or smaller collar.
DeleteIt does however provide great autumn contrast with that green and yellow though.

I really like the shape of the dress, but it needs a little something... Maybe a belt in a cognac colour, with cognac coloured shoes...? Some funny earrings? Or would should it be 2 inches shorter? Hmm... Hair looks fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteI almost always love whatever Kate chooses to wear. While this brown printed dress fits her perfectly, I do not think the color does her any favors. It is too dark and, in my opinion, the print itself is rather odd. It reminds me of something you might see in a microscope. I like very much the green dress worn by the woman standing next to the duchess in picture no. 4. The ruffly frilly mustard mini worn by the other woman (wearing the platform shoes) is big fail, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteJolies couleurs automnales qui vont bien à Kate assorties à la couleur de ses cheveux... Dommage de ne pas voir ses boucles d'oreilles !!!
ReplyDeleteI don't dislike this dress, and I think the small shoulders pads ( they are making a come back) add a little volume to her narrow shoulders, that being said, it all looks too brownish, the outfit blends with her hair and she kind of disappears. Nevertheless, she looks as good as usual.

ReplyDeleteNot my favorite. Maybe the color? Just kind of bland compared to how spectacular she has been dressing lately, but maybe that was the point-kerp the focus on the kids! I'm loving her lightened hair though, so flattering.

Kate's dress is neither wow nor yuck...it's quite normal and for my liking nothing special. Hair looks good and she is meanwhile more relaxed than Wills. Frieda
ReplyDeleteLove the dress because it conveys with its informal warm tones a your at my home feeling.
ReplyDeleteNice dress, I think it also comes in green.I believe Sofia and Letizia have it in green.
ReplyDeleteLes grosses chaussures du prince étaient mieux au Pakistan .
ReplyDeleteI like the brown colour, it´s a warm tone despite being dark. But I mind the print. I like the above comparison with a microscope image. I can totally see a bacterial culture (haha) but my first thought was actually 70s upholstery. Anyway, I think the dress had looked better if shorter (just below the knee), and I second the comments about a lacking contrasting colour. The fit and silhouette are very nice in any case.
ReplyDeleteI love this dress, it is unusual but beautiful. Love the choice of shoe colour. Needs a necklace. The Duchess looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love this couple. Doing their work with grace and pleasure. Never asking attention for themselves. Of course Kate's clothes in Pakistan were amazing, because it was an official visit. Here she's receiving young guests "at home". With this simple elegant dress she lets her guests shine.
ReplyDeleteI love this dress, would love to have it myself too.
ReplyDeleteNot usually a fan of brown dresses but I do like this. Think it is very flattering and hangs beautifully. I agree that something bright would have made it even more stunning and I love the pic with the women in the green and gold dresses along with the Duchesses brown.
ReplyDeleteits sad, that for most occasion kate dresses tooo old for her age,
